Is it possible as a warrior?

I’m looking for something that can ninja a camp before the other realm’s zerg arrives.
…what weapon/build/armor would do that?

Time to put down my hipster horn build and buy a greatsword?

I dunno. The constant Blind spam from the Scouts always messes it up for me. You really want two guys, or more…

God, every warrior must have the GreatSword! Most powerful weapon/class combination in the whole game!

Pull some of them behind corner, perhaps some CC, then Frenzy + HB + Whirlwind.

It is doable. I did it a few times. If you can pull them behind a corner or only aggro 1 or 2 (they don’t share the same range who they attack), it is easy. Always go for the scouts first. If you do it right it is possible for a warrior.

Agro everything, stand next to one of the scouts and do a frenzy/endure pain HB to kill everything but the lord who will be almost dead and 1 scout. Berserker with a few pieces of Knight’s gear, high crit chance and heal on crit food its easy.

Ive seen a mesmer do it :P

to solo simple supply camp (100/100 -150/150)you need arround 20 seconds with bereker build.
Rush on first scout, do 2 -3 normal hits untill veteran and guard come near you. then use 3 stances (balanced stance / endure pain /frenzy ) and hundred blades. Scout will die and guard will be under 30% hp , he need 2-3 more hits. Whirlwind to the other veteran scout and hundred blades. all mobs will be dead except champion will be arround 20%

Sharing techniques like that…maybe your my opponent right now in wvwvw ?As to answer your question..yes its Very possible to solo camps as a warr,even solo thenm when he’s buffed.Take a look at your skills and your traits and figure out what does what and tadaaa,you will find out.

As Caedmon says you can definitely solo cap camps. I do it quite often when there aren’t as many players on in my worlds BL. Going against a fully upgraded camp is another story however. You may have to pull the npcs apart until some break aggro – which takes time and if you get noticed might ruin your chance to cap. Just play with it and get the feel of how the npcs react

it will do 1 blind every 10 seconds or so , blind stop 2 hits from hundred blades only

Just funnel them around a corner.

Surprisignly nobody mentioned Hammer yet.
Whatever weapon you choose, I’d suggest killing the range guys first while kiting the rest. A form of condition removal seems to be necessary, too.

blind is a real pain to deal with, but it is possible. the way i usually do it is killing off the scouts one by one with a longbow then when they’re all dead i can start actually trying to kill everything else. takes a while and someone is bound to notice if you spend to much time, but it can work.

I just run in and smack em all to death with hammer. Stun the scouts and knock em down so they don’t blind you.

But I am full tank warrior and can take a lot of damage.

Thanks for all the replies! I had tried a tanky hammer build, but those blinds! Ain’t nobody got time for that.
So I broke down and got the gs/axes, and am having mixed results—like most people say, it’s a feeling thing. And a kiting thing.

And a “look out behind you” thing.

Yes. Take time though. The following combinations I’ve tried taking a camp with.

axe/shield (fastest)
hammer build with weapon/shield as back up (average)
mace/shield (least damage against us, but slowest in taking camp)

Note my traits are defensive and so are my items. >3<

average time of taking a camp – 3 minutes plus >3<

I don’t use consummables; so if you do use them, then camp taking might be faster and easier.

The scout blinds make it difficult, honestly you just got to do a lot of kiting, I recommend killing the guards all first then the lord. It’s very difficult to do much with a hammer, which is my main build but offhand sword/axe works out pretty well.

Also I only run P/T/V gear but use lifesteal food and if possible I like to have the healing signet instead of mending when I do this.

Solo’ing a supply camp essentially means having a strong PvE build, and yes I have done it with the build I used to use.

When I had just levelled 80 I’d used the build I mentioned, and for PvE and dungeons etc it’s absolutely amazing, but doesn’t have the killing power you need for WvW when facing real opponents.

With a condition rifle/sword you can solo a buffed camp. Pull and kill the two range or at least one. You can do them both at once with piercing shot. Once they are dead pull everything into a big group, make sure melee guard used his shield bash and boss used his knowdown (or use some stability). Don’t want them to mess up flurry. If you only killed one range, pull everyone to the other one. Pop endure pain and flurry. With ghost peppers you get a bunch of might in daytime. Trash mobs will melt, with the might you gained, you will be hitting from 130-160 per bleed on the boss if you also use justice and rage. You can stack about 6-8 bleeds on a buffed boss (10-14 on unbuffed). Just keep kiting till bleeds kill him. Wait till he tries to heal and bullcharge to interrupt and flurry. Your endure pain will be back up so pop it while you sword him till rifle is back up.

It does take awhile so chances are enemies will show. Be prepared to run. Also, your side might show and rob you of your solo buffed camp glory.

You can either
A kite and spend about 4 minutes capping which in that case any build will really work
or use glass cannon greatsword/axe+shield, shake it off, frenzy and endure pain, stand near a scout to lure eveyrthing close together than pop everything at once to clear the camp quickly

This is my build and with unupgraded camps i can just walk behind a pillar which pulls every mob on me because of LoS and then swing / 100b everything to death with healing once in about 30 seconds. Blind is a pest, try to have them both trigger it at the same time by pulling both at the same time and have them trigger it out of range from you the first time. Omnomberry is of course a must.

And i’m not sure if thats just me but whenever i get a blind from scout i use the 100b. Need like 1 second to switch from regular swings and usually the 2nd-3rd hit already lands and its overall good dps. I have the impression using 100b does something to the blind.. maybe its the channel, i dont know. But i feel like its the way to do it properly.
