Since the release of the game physical skills (except rampage, lately) have been sub-par to stances, signets or even recently nerfed shouts.

I suggest they should be changed to work along with burst skills (but not use adrenaline).
These skills would still have their current cooldowns and would be considered as physical skills (for the use of Peak Performance).

F1 and F2(berserker) for weapon releated bursts. While F3 and F4 would be reserved for a physical skill.

F3 for normal version of the physical skills. F4 for the berserker variations.

Idea is that you choose one out of 4 (kick, bolas, stomp, bull’s charge) while rampage remains an elite skill.

For berserker variations i suggest:

Kick → Roundhouse kick = launch + massive damage

Stomp → [Insert name] = 2-3 attacks much like some autoattacks (1st-knockdown, 2nd- taunt and 3rd stealth reveal).

Bolas → [Insert name] = some sort of lasso for a pull (why warriors, the only real brawler class doesn’t have a pull to this date is unbelievable).

Bull’s charge → [Insert name] = [Add effect]

These changes wouldn’t make a game breaking difference but would most certainly make physical skills see some use outside of the (random 1 test only) 1v1 builds.

PS: I know bull’s charge is used at times but it still comes second to all “good” utilities (especially in pvp and wvw).

I doubt it would change anything.

Warriors already have a very offensive toolkit built in their weapons & traits. They need the utility bar mainly for defense and/or support.

The only place one could find it viable would be in pve where you do not require much defense mechanism (so far for warrior).

BUT. To justify not taking banners, the damage from those skills should be higher than the dps loss witnessed overall on a group. Which is unlikely to happen.

All in all, I believe physical skills should be something more or even something else than damage. I would argue emphasizing the CC part of it for instance. Making some cool judo-like moves on enemies in a kungkittenmaster b&n style would be awesome.

Physical skills felt lacking even before peak condition was introduced, which actually nerfed them to prevent rampage being even stronger (honestly, the old 100% more damage would have been too much in rampages case). Physical skills are now completly overshadowed by rage skills and I think Anet HAS to change them soon.

I would suggest to double the damage of all physical skills, except rampage, and have them focus on cc and defense, in contrast to the new rage skills which are more offensive oriented. By defense I mean ways to mitigate damage by interupting enemies and keeping them where you want them to be.

I´d change them into something like this:

Stomp:
Launch nearby foes into the air with a powerful stomp.
Damage Damage: 183
Launch Launch: 450
Radius: 240
Breaks stun
Combo Combo Finisher: Blast
grants 1 second of stability

to

Leap into the air and knock down foes where you land.
Damage Damage: 366
knockdown Knockdown: 2s
Number of Targets: 5
Radius: 240
Breaks stun
Combo Combo Finisher: Blast
Range: 600
10 stacks of stability for 3 seconds

Pretty much just like seismic leap in rampage form, which would also make it easier to follow up. It´s also a stunbreaker which helps to get out of a tough spot and counter.

Peak condition should grant endurance per physical skill used, which is a way to mitigate more damage and also has good synergy with the strength line, as reckless dodge can be used more often.

The other physical skills are fairly decent on low cooldowns which would grant much endurance. Maybe make rush inflict vulnerability, too.

Those are just crude ideas but I think it would help to give physical skills a role.
