Guild Wars 2

I know there a lot of warriors that like melandru and the Runes of Strength or runes that add more power or Crit damage but finding my need for my long used Melandru Runes not as high as it was with my new build and having plenty of power and armor/toughness I figured i would give these a try in WvW.

They are a blast. Couple them with “death from above” and there few falls or jumps that can kill you. You can actually use death from above to inflict damage without worrying about the impact on your health.

I am not talking about the most efficient rune or the best for dealing damage. I am talking about the fun factor. Those cliffs you once avoided jumping off are now shortcuts to get to a destination fast. People chasing you as you near death as you leap off a cliff as they follow are suddenly in worse shape then you are.

Just as a lark i tried all the cliffs I could think of in WvW home borders to leap off with these runes and found one that would kill me outright (High point garrison).

leaping down a High cliff onto a catapult with that knockback and next to no health loss is something the other side just does not anticipate.

Try them. They are fun. They are cheap. You might not stick with them but they are far more useful in WVW than one would think.

The bugged falling damage in a stair with death from above are amongt the best things on earth. Apart from that, meh.
