Guild Wars 2

Heya.

So I’m looking to start running around on my warrior a bit more, and gearing her up so that she doesn’t have an assortment of (lower level) exotics, rares, or greens on her.

I run with sword/shield and rifle at the moment, and I’ll pretty clearly state that that’s just aesthetic preference. I don’t really plan to use her in dungeons and I’ll probably be using another character for WvW stuff. So I’m not bothered that the weapon set isn’t going to be the most fantastic of choices. However, as long as I’m running around with this I decided it’d probably be ideal to see what the best I can get out of it would be.

So, here’s my current ‘build’.

Not filled in too much, due to my not really having sunk much gold on the character for exotics or the like yet (they all have runes, but they’re pretty much ‘whatever was in the inventory while I was leveling’). Which is probably for the best if I’m asking for suggestions like this, so there y’go. I know in the past I’ve attempted to gear up heavy on condition damage for bleeding, but I’ve seen some threads claiming that it’s better to go straight for power.

If you don’t need to dungeon and wvw with it you can run naked.
The rest of the game doesn’t really need any thinking or minmaxing.

Then I guess for the sake of this, let’s say I might bring her on dungeon runs. Heck, if there’s a decent build for sword/shield dungeon runs then I might try her out in those. Really most of the stuff I’m using her on is for exploration and world bosses, and I’m going to assume there’s a noticeable change from wearing leveling stuff and having an exotic set, even in the less intensive parts of the game.

i made a few changes to your build, you will have increased raw damage, and little condition damage since you really won’t be needing it with your weapon set.

this is a build i run purely for aesthetics as well. since i like the axe/shield hammer look.
