Sword in PvE
10/30/0/10/20 – V/ III – VIII – XIII / V / III – VI – full rabid, aristocracy runes, sw/sw + lb, strength/bursting on swords, your choice between corruption, battle, energy, bursting, smoldering on longbow.
Swords are nice for their conditions, but condition damage is a little bit lacking in PvE. However power builds on swords are not exactly bad. Final thrust and Rip both do fine damage, with the rest doing mediocre damage but with conditions to back them up. It’s not the best set to avoid condition damage on, but between might and a secondary weapon that then doesn’t have to do condition damage it’s quite nice.

Condition damage is lacking he says.
Find me a faster solo in berserker gear.
Oh wait you can’t ahahahahahahahahaha
That’s because Lupi has like 1k armor more than the average mob and also forces you to dodge a lot so long-lasting bleed applications have comparatively more effect.
Incidentally, if you want a situation where sword is actually better than axe or GS, you can run with Celestial gear and easymode through content with Adrenal Health slotted. Your EHP and EHealing will be super high and you will deal more with a sword than an axe due to the gain in condition damage stat and the fact that you get Blademaster in the Arms line which you’ll already have maxed anyway. Obviously not as good as just going straight zerker axe but it’s better than Celestial Axe if you’re in need of a “training wheels” and/or “afk easymode” build.

Meh, I play multiplayer games for multiplayer stuff. In large scale content conditions max out and stop doing as much.
OP makes thread about viability of sword in solo pve
you make reply saying conditions are bad
I link to my solo which is faster than the fastest berserker solo uploaded to date
You make excuse about playing muliplayer games and large scale content
do you realise your post literally has nothing to do with how good/bad sword is in solo pve and how good/bad conditions are in solo pve?

I gave my opinion on conditions, you proved me wrong, I corrected myself and gave context for my opinion. Calm down and learn some manners.
Well, except for high armored long living bosses without much condition remove condition damage is pretty bad in PvE.
Thanks for the reactions, i will take a look at the build and i will see what i like best.
Cond damage builds are pretty bad for arah, except for abomination and lupicus. If you want to solo arah p1 you only use your rabid armor on lupicus, because its faster to kill the ooze in a power build and those crystalline entities are immune to conditions.
In p2 its kinda hard to do the rotation with longbow on Belka because she reflects half of the time, Alphard has extremely low condition duration applied to her, and then on Brie you cant do the burst phase on her with conditions.
So, that cond warrior build is pretty much an Abomination/Lupicus solo build, and thats it.
because its faster to kill the ooze in a power build
I’d kinda take any bet that isn’t the case.
I agree with Dub.
You really can’t just fully melee the ooze. Not only that but you aren’t able to use whirlwind for any purpose other than to evade from him if he’s against a wall, so if you want to hit him at all with it then it has to be out in the open so that you can evade right through him.
Also, conditions tick even when you aren’t able to attack. While both berserker builds and condition builds require constant attacking to make sure they’re dealing as much damage as possible, the condition build is obviously the better choice for ooze lol.
You could axe him, it’s pretty much identical to using a sword since most of the sword’s bleed is from auto-attack anyway.
Rooting yourself for HB against Ooze probably isn’t fun times though, although I haven’t actually tried it yet.
