TWO HANDED AXES !
Not much to say, but i’d really love to see this weapon added to the game.
reasons:
1- It looks cool.
2- It can slash stuff.
3- Did i mention how cool it looks ?
4- the warrior could a new weapon, since we get nerfs all the time … it hurts ;(
5- Who the heck doesn’t want to look so cool?
6- In the picture in the professions tap the warrior is holding a great axe.
I know this might seem childish but i really want a Great axe
I double that. AND pole-arms.
I’ve been saying this for a while, and its REALLY awkward for a game that haves the option for you to use Torches and Warhorns as weapons for the most basic and common weapons across history and on MMO’s to not be a thing. (Pole-Arms and Axes)
I really think this is the only or one of the few MMO’s where Great-axes and pole-arms arent a thing :P I cant think of many at all.
Polearm might come. I already posted that in revenant thread but.. [&AgGPcgAA] it was datamined 2 years ago when they started working on expansion. Now its olny a speculation (?) but you never know if it make it way with expansion or not.
In the HoT trailer, it looks like at some point Rytlock is using a polearm-type weapon. It’s two-handed and doesn’t look like a sword at all. In fact, it looks more like a staff.. maybe it’s supposed to be hammer; I’m not sure.
It also shows a medium armor character wielding some sort of fire hammer (I assume it’s an engineer judging from the little flying gadgets he has around him)

i actually dont believe that we will get new types of weapons such as polearms, great axes, on land spears ect…..
i think classes will just get a “new” weapon that they couldn’t use before.
like a engineer using a hammer, thieves using rifle,mesmers using shields, rangers using staffs… none of them are new weapons in the game but instead new weapons for the classes.
not that i have anything against for adding new types of weapons…tho it would seem unfair for warriors getting a shiny new cool weapon and others get to play with old ones
