I can’t be the only one who has noticed that the Tactics trait line is the only Trait option that gives a buff FOR EVERY 10 TRAIT POINTS instead of for every single trait point. On top of that, it offers a pathetic “+1% damage to Burst Skills per 10 trait points” for a whopping +3% damage for maxing out the Trait line.

This is obviously a bug. The real question is if this is just a tooltip bug or if that is the actual bonus being given.

Think you mean “discipline” trait line. And yes, the “3% burst damage” effect does seem out of place when 30% is the norm for such effects, though I wouldn’t say that trait line needs to be any better than it is.

Yeah its ridiculously bad. However, they wont give us back the proper damage bonus that it used to be ie 1% per point, for fear of making evis and killshot too powerful. People constantly complaining about the 100b build is enough forum noise for the moment.

Change it to adrenaline gain rate increase.. or movement speed increase per 1 point – just something more useful and substantial.

I wish it was a bug. It was hit big time with a nerf during the betas. It may as well not be there at all in it’s current state, it offers nothing. 0.1% extra burst dmg per trait point? Very funny ANet!

It used to be +30% for 30 points a long time ago, but it was nerfed to +3% because eviscerate was getting pretty out of control when people were also stacking the +30% damage on weapon swap (now removed) and 100% crit change on weapon swap sigils. The +crit damage part of the passive is still very good, although very specific to burst builds.

I think they’ll eventually rework the discipline passive to reduce the cooldown of the burst ability, so that it works like most professions’ similiar such lines, and rework the discipline trait that does the same thing to do something else instead.
