Q:
I have my 10 – 0 – 30 – 30 – 0 warrior with Hammer/Sword+Shield with Soldier’s armor + dolyak runes… can I take it into dungeons/fractals without buying these zerkers that everyone is running right now without having a bigger problems? I wanted to go dungeons as warrior becouse I find it most fun to play, but everyone is running Zerkers and I hope that the fact I dont have them ( and dont really want to buy them ) will not prevent me from doing these things.

If you are looking to run dungeons/fractals long term and not just grab tokens for a legendary and then drop them. Then you are best served by building well and using the right gear.
If you insist on using soldiers then you should at least trait for more dps and use different weapons.
if you have been playing wvw a lot you might have enough badges to buy your self a exotic zerk armor set form the wvw vendor.
you might also get zerk builds from dungeon tokens.
and i also think there are some karma vendors in wvw that sells zerk gear (rare quality, but still pretty useful)
currently the most “optimal” way to do speed runs in dungeons is so that everyone focuses on simple and pure damage.
Note there are also some other stats that combine damage and survivability.
Also note you are not forced into picking 1 set of stats, and applying them to all armor/weapon/trinket and food slots.
You might mix Knight armor (power prec tough) with zerker trinkets, and further balance things out to your liking with traits food and weapons.
You should be fine. You may want to have a ranged weapon (bow) in your bag for ranged targets (these situations occur in some dungeons). Always take a banner (Disc. or Strength, check with the other warriors so you don’t bring the same), and you can setup Empower Allies or Shrug it off, so pick one and you should be set. I also find For Great Justice a great group skill.
You’re plenty tanky so get some zerker trinkets/weapons for more damage, and mix in some consumables (food, sharpening stones).
No offense but absolutely not. I already leave if there’s a warrior on my team using banner of tactics/defense and/or a rifle for FotM (that is, unless they comply when I confront them about it). Expecting groups to put up with you using an essentially useless setup just because you can’t be bothered to put the effort or money required to get equipment that’s actually viable for PvE is selfish. You would be a leech; someone in full tank is not a contribution to a team on this game— perhaps it’s not this way on other games, but it is on GW2.
big no. Use your badges and get properly equipped to do pve.
It can be done, but you will be a burden on the rest of the team. Most group want full zerker in order to quickly burn down foes before they can deal alot of damage. With that setup you won’t be doing much good and will end up dragging out fights unnecessarily. Its probably okay if its just temporary while you try and earn the necessary tokens to get full zerk, but you want to swap out asap. If you do plan to use your current build you should at least change out the weapons. Hammer is terrible in PvE since most of the CC is useless against bosses and the AoE knockdown (4) will spread and kitten off your party.
With the upcoming Ferocity changes there will be an across the board dps nerfs for any class using Crit Dmg % so groups will most likely become more demanding of optimal setups.

That´s false most times. U can do it, but that´s not the reason why berserker is meta in PvE.
@TE, at least, switch your traits for PvE. U can keep your soldiers amor if u have problems to survive, but try to get zerkers trinkets for example.
Full Zerk is the best, if u can play it. If u are new to dungeons a few parts soldiers or knights can help.

You could go into dungeons. Perhaps focus on dungeons with less actually enemies that can be crit like AC or ones where pugs tend to lie and wear PVT because they die a lot – TA. You can also do low level fractals, this will help you get zerker rings. You want zerker in upper levels because you’re doing to die in a couple of hits regardless of what you’re wearing anyway so might as well go dps.
Start with a set of zerker weapons, then armor/trinkets/rings/etc.
TBH, most PUGs won’t notice the difference unless everything is wearing PVT. Most PUGs aren’t fully zerker and running optimal builds to tell the difference.

PUGs might not notice but any half-competent player will KNOW the damage isn’t right (you just know when someone is running a build like that after the very first enemies if you run dungeons every day for a while)
a build/equip setup like that is leeching, pure and simple. just go full zerker or at least knight with dps traits. you only need to learn when to dodge and (depending on the dungeon) have around a competent guard for stability and reflection to survive every pve encounter.
