Thank you Anet, keep em' commin' =)
yeah update is really good. Warrior is now fine, just fine. not that op but not that bad. All they have to do is nerfing OP stuffs of other classes : such as tons of blinds, tons of attacks while dodging, tons of blocks, tons of invisible traps and tons of druid’s heal.

die to reaper die to engi die to thief die to dragon hunter die to everything but your own class
Main Warrior | Every other class at 80
I only play WvW
Your math is wrong, but in a good way. Damage-percent increases are multiplicative rather than additive meaning that you actually get more out of them than you think!
This is very good for Warriors in PvE!

Ooooh.. really? I didn’t know that, learned something new, but you suddenly made me feel that I should be putting out bigger numbers. You’re not good for my health.. like a cookie. =p
On a sidenote, I wish they reworked heavy armor for Charr.. besides T3 Cultural Armor everything else looks so.. terrible.. *Cry..
After these changes I actually feel like the Berserker is a pretty solid spec. What most people are complaining about, or should be complaining about, is the base warrior. It needs a fair bit of work. These changes were welcome in my book though.
I cant get anything to work in spvp but eviscerate and gunflame, which are bad when you have a kitten team

Thing with Berserker in sPvP and WvW is.. its too slow a start, it needs to build up 3 bars of Adrenaline before it can start things off.. pre-Berserk mode it’s sub-par.. post-Berserk mode, you’re not OP enough to make up for the difference.. Also you sacrifice something for it.. since Warrior was pretty much defined with Defense and Discipline locked into traits.. and stances into the skill bar. missing one of these gimps Warrior’s combat ability by a large margin.
I think this has been cited by multiple people already.. I think a great solution would be to gate Berserk mode duration to Adrenaline Bar ex. going berserk on 1 bar of Adrenaline will give you 5 seconds in Berserk mode, 10 seconds for 2 bars and 15 seconds for 3 bars.. and well ADD MORE DAMAGE. =p
That’ll make it more viable.. MORE DAMAGE makes Warrior viable.. =D

I agree with most of everything you said. The bit I’m concerned about is the damage. If you mean buffing certain Berserker-related skills so that they aren’t a loss of DPS, then I agree. Otherwise, I feel that the trait modifiers are in a really good spot right now.

gj Anet… gonna get to that Withdraw “bug” now?

The “ADD MORE DAMGE” comment was meant as a joke =D
I am quite content with the changes so far.. and I am hopeful that they’ll balance things out when they get the chance to do so.
What I was trying to say was that buffing certain aspects of Berserker would make it more viable in sPvP and WvW.
Like.. maybe accelerating Warrior’s Adrenaline gain by buffing “Versatile Rage” from the Discipline tree (Since nobody is dumping Discipline anyway.. =p) or lowering the activation cost of Berserk mode, both of which would help immensely.
..or maybe have passive triggers for Berserk mode like after getting stunned or have a certain number of condition on you, or after taking a certain amount of damage.
List goes on, a lot of good solutions to this already posted by other people on other posts we’re just going to have to wait. =)
Headbutt would solve the adrenaline issue pretty well if had better chances to actually land in PvP.
Oh yea 100% uptime on 7% damage lmfao only in pve. Blinds, dodges, and blocks makes this an atrocious trait in pvp. Catering to their bigger player base as usual.
Headbutt is not that great. Range is horrendous I do think you will get more adrenaline from signet passive than that in the end.

Yup.
Good that Berserker is finally getting some updates. Problem is, if you’re not going Greatsword or Shoutbow, there aren’t many effective options.
Warhorn and banners got unnecessarily nerfed. Hammer skills and the associated trait are pathetic in comparison to Revenant and Scrapper. Rifle is still a joke weapon. Mace/Shield is mostly PvP action-denial that doesn’t work well in PvE.
Warrior was good. “Too good,” they said. So it’s gotten hit by the nerf bat repeatedly over the balance changes, in places it shouldn’t have.

The Patch went into the wrong direction. Damage was never the Issue with Warrior or Beserker for better say. The new F1 skills sucked in the majority of cases and Berserker has no survival, thats it.
Condition is great from mid range with a semi passive playstyle. The class that can pull agressive conditions have amazing tools at survival. The issue with warr is that we are probably the worst mid range class in the game. They seems to have flagged berserker as a DPS hybrid condi/melee and it doesn’t work with warrior cause we need to go full offensive to be effective with bare to nothing survivability.
If they want this to work they either need to buff our survivability or give use the OMFGQQ close range fire/dps damage that burn to death everything under 300 range. Kinda like a fire ring that would be up as long as your in berserker form. Then every actions/people you burn with it could feed the intensity of that fire ring and allow it to stay for a while after the zerk form is off. This could give warrior some mid range pressure and an interesting gameplay and a reason to get into zerker form and perform well.
Making the berserker the ultimate close range could be viable but it would need the best damage of all class in that range or rework the whole base warrior class.

The Berserker “buffs” were better than nothing, but they were like shoving chewing gum into the gaping holes of a sinking ship. They made PvE Berserker slightly more palatable, but they do nothing to solve the core problems of Warrior and Berserker in PvP and WvW.

Have you rerolled to some of these top specs…. i was playin DH the other day and its in another world compared to warrior… I could 1v2 easily… the damage, utility everything
I’m happy with these changes! To those still having some trouble, may I suggest sword + torch/bow? I find that the burn pressure I can put on point with Scorched Earth/Bow 3 is pretty effective. Burn is potent, take advantage of it.

I agree, with the few changes I actually have two builds that are very effective now. I take burning over greatsword any day
