The Tornado: ridiculous DPS and CC build
Why Furious instead of Last Chance?
Another build that would’ve been more attractive if Hammer had one simple thing: Blind Immunity.
.
Why Furious instead of Last Chance?
cooldown
the build relies on fast adrenaline gain and constant weapon swaps
What a remarkably generic build
Around these parts, Tornadoes are ridiculously slow, don’t cause much damage and are very easily hit and destroyed because they’re such big targets.

My last post was in response to Mr. 1Lobo. The build though I might try out. I’m looking for something tanky to run into them zergs with or at least enough CC to sustain against 3-5 people while allies pick them off. I was feeling Hammer would do the trick so I will give this a shot and see how it works for me.
Although I’m worried about the lack of Range, but I’m sure I could Swap to LB when really necessary and not be traited for it yeah?
Schwarheit does the LB/GS build
The specificity of the tornado build is fast weaponswaps and fast adrenaline buildup, going hammer cripple → hammer stun → evasive ww with 100% crit → repeat, keeping damage intake on you just low enough to sustain glass cannon damage against zergs without getting instantly downed.
As for the build the video shows nothing that lets us see the efficiency of the build.
It’s all beating on zergs that dont even target you, any build or weapon works for that.

Looks interesting, I’ll give this a try. Bookmarked.
The problem with this build, just like every melee build is that it is extremely reliant on a melee zerg.
If you’re in a mainly range/aoe zerg, the zerg will mostly stay behind and fight like gunsmen. These battle are not chaotic and you can clearly see if one little swordsman trying to take on the entire zerg themselves. That swordsman will be easy to target and easy to take down.
In a melee zerg, every friendly swordsman are on the enemies’ face and it is hard to be a prime target. Mainly due to ranged players have less control over over projectile weapons.
If this build works while you are running with a mainly ranged zerg then this build can be considered a man’s build.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Tried this build and it is easily the best hammer warrior build I’ve ever used in organized WvW raids. The immobilize alone makes it fantastic, but the utilities you chose really make this build feel like a juggernaut.
My gear choices for this build:
PTV armor (slotted with emerald orbs)
PTV hammer and greatsword (sigil of bloodlust on hammer, sigil undecided on greatsword)
PTV back and jewelry (slotted with emerald orbs)
Thanks for the advice, Xiv!

You’ll find it has also made you a better lover, husband and father.

Signet of Stamina active will clear a blind.

That wasn’t a good response, and I’m sure you’re about to be blasted for it.

He won’t though. Signet of Stamina is great yes, HOWEVER when you’re doing the burst, the time that it takes to land Earth Shaker allows blind to be timed easily.
You can see Earth Shaker coming from miles away due to the casting time. Now lets compare the casting time of blind such as that one Thief signet and Guardian blinds.
If Earth Shaker is granted blind immunity, then you still have Aegis and Guardian stability to counter it. The incentive just becomes more balanced that way.

This, good summary.
