Thief Dabbling in Warrior
You can try Greatsword/Hammer, I’m having an awful lot of fun!
With some good reflexes, you can 1v1 nicely with the stun chain as every hammer attack is a little death sentence and bladetrail->rush->arcing slice is a really nice finishing combo.
You can obviously tweak it, for example changing battle and strength rune for pack and energy or taking intelligence on GS.
It is nowhere close to the meta but really fun anyways
Have fun!
Hello,
Welcome to the warrior forum, I hope you’ll enjoy your stay.
Hey, as the title suggests I generally play thief but wanted to try some warrior mostly in pvp. Last time I messed around with warrior was when skull crack 100b combo was big. However, it seems all the good warrior builds now are all tanky, cele strength rune builds.
I was wondering if anyone had a build that uses berserker amulet that is relatively strong in 1v1s. Thanks!
I currently use the following berserker build. It uses the mace/shield for control, which you find in the skullcracker, but I prefer using the sword+axe rather than the GS as an alternate set. You gain might either by blocking, or by being blocked (getting 20+ stacks is not uncommon).
Use sword#2 to position yourself, engage/disengage swiftly (make sure auto-targeting is off). Use mace #2 and shield #5 to block and gain might, mace #3 to interrupt heals or telegraphed skills. Attack in three steps: (1) Use Balanced Stance to gain stability and additional toughness (auto trigger of Rousing Resilience on activation, not written in the skill description), (2) Control your opponent using sword F1 or shield #4 followed by mace #1, and (3) Burst him either with axe #5 or sword #3.
If you’re new to warrior, you’ll find out that the gameplay is vastly different from the thief. You’re way more tanky and have good damage, so you must be aggressive on your target. Most of your skills are telegraphed, so you need to prepare them (baiting, controlling). You do not have any teleport or stealth, meaning you’re always visible and targetable: your surviving depends on mobility (consider disengaging, using sword #2 or GS #3 and GS #5, when your health reaches 50%) and active defense (blocks and interrupts, no blind nor aegis nor protection being available on the class, except blind on LB #4).
There are tons of possible berserker builds to try out. You should experiment with all weapons, and see by yourself which one you prefer. Don’t hesitate to post back once you have some idea about it, so that the community can suggest builds fitting your interest.
Have fun.
Here is OP build. You can win 1v1s with just the elite skill. Have fun.
