Thieves can Steal, Warrior should disarm!

Serious reply – Yes that would be nice, but I dont see F2/3/4 on warrior anytime soon. Maybe on a utility slot?
Silly reply – I want Headbutt… “Grab your target and headbutt them 3 times +1 stack of confusion per hit” :P
- your opponents switches back to their last weapon set / kit and they can’t swap out of it for the next 5-10 seconds
i’ll go with this could work as a trait in strength or arms. the effect could be disarm on cc/stun…
could also be – put weapon skills on cd… so they’ll be forced to swap, weapons.

Haha, that actually sounds pretty coo!
I don’t think additional utility spells are what we need though. Even right now, a lot of them aren’t used because they’re more like “fun abilities” rather than useful ones. Warrior needs survival utility skills to stay alive which we have right now to some extent.

I like that even better!

I would rather just have it as an F2 though to bring a bit more complexity to the warrior profession and without having to pigeon hole warriors into certain trait lines. Right now we really have just a low amount of skills to use.

i would love to have an F2 skill, but i feel its easier for them to add a new trait than a new mechanic altogether, thats why i thought it could be a trait
and personally, i dont think it’ll pigeon hole us into a certain trait line, rather, give us more build diversity. i can only see it working well for a cc-heavy build, and you should be sacrificing some dps or survivability if you want it… just my 2 cents though
I really do think warriors should have more martial skills besides hit things harder like disarming and parrying.
My opinion is all of the professions should have f1-f4 abilities , lets raise that skill ceiling beyond belief.

Would be nice but we can’t be sure people won’t just macro a programmable keyboard instead of actually using keys one-by-one.
Its technically not allowed by Anet but there’s nothing they can really do about it.
Don’t they already have that? I think it’s called Daze…. :P It’s pretty much exactly what you’d want “disarm” to do but our access to it only gives us 1 second of it.
Well, you also got the longest stun in the game in http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skull_Crack. That’s even better than a daze.

What happens when two warriors disarm each other? Can they have a manly fist fight with a cutscene? :o

They really could replace the 1-5 skills with a new skill bar with punching skills and whatnot, that’d be great! It would be like a moa skill for the Warrior. I think that would be seriously interesting.
Only problem would be all of the unarmed mobs out there (marsh drake: “OH NOE MY SCEPTER ohwaitimadrakelol”) it would be a useless mechanic.
Old ultima online saying : If a mammut can dodge, i should be able to disarm his tusks…
Warrior says : Puny little mage, ill take your staff and you cant do anything.
Mage : i dont need it, ill cast with my bare hands.
Warrior says a but confused : Then…then ill disarm your arms (cuts them off)
Since they teased the rapier in the Aetherblade update, I’d say disarm could be a rapier skill that causes daze?
IMO, disarm should disable all weapon skills and weapon/kit/attunement swap. If it was a F2 burst ability, it could be for 2/3/4 seconds, based on adrenaline bars.
It would be similar to daze, except you still have access to heals and utilities, but the duration is longer. It would give the class more pressure abilities, but not sure how well it would work as an active defense, since utilities would still be available. And the thing warriors need most right now is better sustain.
