But here’s my Wammo, so heal me maybe?

Hi there,
I don’t play (or post) all that often anymore, but I was having this inner reflection yesterday when I had another go at WvW. Warriors are certainly powerful, but I find it quite challenging to have damage, cc, ranged attacks, gap closers, speed, self support and party support all at the same time and I often have my inventory open to switch out my Hammer or Longbow for Sword + Warhorn.
This wouldn’t seem like such a big deal, but I find it actually quite easy to tick all the boxes on my Guardian using Staff and Greatsword.
So I was thinking, why not have a third weapon set for Warriors? They are, after all, the most martial of all the professions.
Feel free to go into detail how I should L2P or how the idea is utterly overpowered and/or ludicrous. I don’t personally see any big problems with it (but I’ve been gone for a while), and it would save me this clunky inventory interaction.
P.S. I think Banners can easily be considered the “third” weapon slot, if they actually behaved that way. Right now, I find them incredibly unwieldy in WvW.

Some people really should stop playing this game…

Start with yourself!
There is no reason to be rude! I think its a good idea, Warriors are suppose to be weapon masters, yet we are the only class that cannot spec to help our selves or our team at the same time… Warriors are always at a disadvantage as they have to limit themselves to spec utility.
Haha, I knew I’d ruffle at least someone’s feathers by posting this. Back in old GW1 you could have up to four weapon sets, but some people here are clearly too young to remember that…
I agree with Shieldbash, though, Warriors could really use something to martially set them apart from Guardians (and Revenants, soon).
Yeah, you poor Warriors.. you can run full zerk in WvW and have still almost 3k armor and about 22k life.. if you think damage, CC and “almost-tank” is not enough group support you are playing something really really wrong!

you are exaggerated a little 3k armor and 22k life in full zerker
here is the not so exaggerated full zerker build warrior you talking about
and this is the exo gear i’m currently running

Warriors are completly fine PvP wise.
About your idea, I think it would make the gameplay really awkward. As for the “we are the most martial profession” that’s why we have 5s cd on our weapon switch instead of 10s.

If you read properly you can see, that i wrote “almost” 3k armor.. with my WvW Warrior I have 2892 Armor and without these Applied Fortitude Stacks I have 20,813 life (+2500 at 5 stacks)
Standard GS/Hammer build 0-0-6-2-6.
2 years ago, “triple-swap” would’ve been fair game.
Now, you can’t just do it or Warrior will be stupidly broken.

but i bet with 2.8k armor and that HP D/P can burst you down unless his bad and medi guard keeps blinding and burning you from range well i don’t know how you play your build but for me warrior is in good shape right now no need to be buff or nerf.

It has nothing to do with age. I chose not to play GW1, and still have no interest to this day. I’ve been playing online games since dial up. I also remember my first Atari 2400 and Comador 64.
Age has nothing to do with taste.
What if instead of a 3rd weapon our second weapon swap had different utilities that could be utilized? That would allow major spec diversity!

Oh yea my 1982 Yars Revenge score is still in the Atari hof! lol
The problem with triple swap is suddenly Warriors have 2 more Weapon Sigils on the 4s – 5s swap timer cooldown.
If you want a different weapon set, I’d go with the fix the Rampage route with lower cooldown to be used more often which would create all kinds of other issues. However, Rampage could probably could be fixed with having Physical Training basically tied to it (base Rampage ability damage would be greatly reduced but make it still allows for CC a related transformation and then with Physical Training, pump it back up to its current meh level).

^^ this, my god this soooo hard haha And i agree! they need to bring back some of the mechanics in that game, it would be nice to have a weapon set for ranged weapons because arms is so dependant on axe/mace in main hand and there are some fights were being upclose to melee dps is just not a viable option. Being able to swap to ranged on the fly would be great.
