Thoughts on Warrior
Holy mother. Like 80% of what you said is just dead wrong. Do you even play this game? Is this a troll attempt? Rampage is worthless… I’m dying here, man.
Troll alert.

You seem pretty disappointed with the class, and I’m sorry to read that. The warrior has actually lots of good points, which I suspect you’re not aware of yet, and I’m pretty sure all participants here would be happy to discuss them.
If you like, try and post messages containing only one theme (e.g. “How to use Whirlwind efficiently”, or “How to build for a main-hand mace”…). Start with things that seem really broken to you, but make sure you scope your posts, so as to obtain focused answers. As it is, your current topic, despite all the effort you’ve poured into it, happens to be way too general to elicit any useful response.
I dont agree that warrior is a random smashing on keyboard, thats more describing elementalist, the class that has so many skills that doesnt even have to care about CDs, since he will always have skills to spam. Every action, movement, attack of warrior has a timing and a logic, means there’s always the right skill to use in the right moment, the last thing that warrior is doing when playing is pressing random skills.
But i agree about the utilities of warrior been bad, seems like the only decent utility we have are defensive stances or signets. There’s no decent offensive utility in warrior.
I also totaly agree about the useless tactics minor traits, and the bad sinergy rousing resilence has with warrior, considering 50% of the times it will proc, will be with endure pain, and considering that 1000 togness is completely obliterate by protection access other classes have.
Then i agree with “the more warrior’s fight last, the more he is gonna lose”, thats because warrior has bad healings and no sustain, and no condition pressure compared to all the other classes.
I think the most unfunny thing you may have meet is that warrior’s skill are much more harder to be land compared to other classes, but i dont think this is wrong cuz this actualy need more skill, i think is not warrior wrong, but the other classes that have easy burst and easy ranged skills to land. Ranged skills should look more like bladetrail, where you actualy have to aim to your target line instead of click the enemy and push the button.
Wow. Just no.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. YuiRS sorry I apparently just came off as ignorant, I’ll try looking into rampage more guess I just couldn’t figure it out just didn’t seem on the level with rage and battle standard and thus never used. Elegie, thanks I’ll be sure to focus my posts better. Shala I didn’t mean to sound like all their skills are hard to land just eviscerate feels really constrictive with the range but I see your point maybe that was intentional to make it more skill based, and blade trail is a great skill for what it is just felt like in 90% of a fight I don’t really need to use it and it’s sad to limit the skill space further like that.

I would say keep digging into the profession more if you are unsatisfied right now. I think you will come to find the roles that each weapon and skill serves. Speaking from an outside perspective the biggest obstacle I think most encounter in ascending their game-play is getting rid of the mentality that you must bulldoze and smash as a warrior and get all skills off as fast as possible. This is a dead-end philosophy in the end. Your opponents will read you and use this desperation to their advantage. Warrior requires finesse and deliberate use of skills. Only when the time between you translating this finesse and then putting it into action is non-existent will you find deadly synergy.
Warriors are masters of weapons, not some filthy peasants with pitchforks.
Warriors bring ALOT of group support in PvE, to the point where you always want one in your party.
You SHOULD and will be dogeing. If you just want to hit things in the face, why not bang your head against a wall … It is the elemental avoidance mechanic, wich you turn into an attack that also boosts your damage.
Combos in PvE are sadly pointless because THE build camps GS. Weapon synergies defenetly feel lackluster because of that. In PvP it is all about CC then burst. Is that even still synergy?
Warrior has some problems in PvP, but for PvE he defenetly is a powerhouse. But if you say things like I do not want to doge then you just sound silly
Zagerus thanks for the advice it does seem perhaps im missing a lot of elegance in the class. CTFT i didn’t mean to say dodge is pointless just meant to say that the forced focus of it with the specialization was disappointing to me. But yeah maybe it was a little silly to give it so much crap. And I know warrior is definitely strong just feels lack luster in comparison with other professions, I didn’t really say anything about what I love about the warrior maybe that was a mistake.
