You can’t run away from a Warrior are you serious?
Use CC Chill/Cripple/Immobile/Daze/Stun ect.
Hammer Warriors are good yes but, their weapon is SLOW, the animations are easily seen and even more easy to Dodge/Avoid/Evade or heck even Interrupt…
Don’t like their health, hmm CONDITIONS are our weakness, use Poison to negate our Regen, and others to Drain us down, there’s just many times we can clear Condi’s before we’re done for.
Don’t want to get hit by our Burst skills, BLIND or heck paying attention works well too…

Well I’m a scepter/focus ele and i used a firey gs to escape a group of people and a warrior using hammer/gs was just narrowly keeping up with me for a good while. The hammers leap/gs charge with whirlwind was just about keeping up with the best mobility weapon ingame, and an elite skill none-the less.
I’m wondering how other professions can escape warriors when a firey gs is just barely capable of doing it. I can typically handle multiple players but i can’t kill a warrior using healing signet and it seems even the tankiest warriors hit 3k+ constantly with the hammer.
Being an ele i have no access to poison, or quickly casted and spammable condis.
I’ve seen warriors beat condi classes pretty easily, even perplexity rune engis seem to die 1v1 to warriors more often than not.
The hammer animations actually aren’t all that long, you guys talk about it like it takes 3 seconds to charge up but its more like 3/4 a second for your stun which i do manage to dodge most of the time when i see it coming which its easy to miss in a group fight. You wanna talk about easy to dodge? When was the last time a dragons tooth hit you? And it doesn’t even do as much damage as most hammer abilities or have any side affect aside from alittle burning.
Also warriors are practically the best -if not than they are the best – condition counter at the moment.

I tend to agree with the OP -
In WvWvW there are so many warrior’s it’s crazy. I think they are way more popular than thieves were in their hayday, and much more OP.
It was hilarious last night on riverside [de] borderlands when our zerg, about 30-35 ppl got inside our bay while enemy was capping it. Everyone with commander stood on the wall and when he asked to port rest of us inside guess what, there wasn’t mesmer. 35 players none of them mesmer, mostly warriors.
This is a thin request to give them mesmers skill “portal”
Everyone is a hammer warrior in WvW
It’s the easiest class to play so of course people are going to flock to it. It’s durable, hits very hard, has an aoe stun up every 5 seconds and thanks to healing signet has non stop regen with high hitpoint and high base armour.
On top of that it’s incredibly manouverable.
WvW is a bit of a joke at the moment, unless you’re playing a warrior it seems.
I like how you baddies come here crying and post things that are over the top exaggerated. You have no clue about traits, skills, or passives other than oh boy this one skill is so much better than my mains /teargates.
It’s really annoying, like all of these nerf threads from all of you terrible players.
What would be grand is some knowledge from anyone whose posting stuff like this, or some videos/skills/anything that even remotely backs up your claims. I know you THINK its unfair, but with no evidence other than, man these two skills they stack are crazy and op (what it takes how many trait points to get that no wayyyyyyyyy! Having a class be user friendly, and having a class be over powered are two different things.
Having the most played class be the best polished, and having multiple builds that are viable vs non, again two different things.
You apparently missed the point.
The devs recently have also mentioned they want other classes to be just as polished as the warrior currently, that’s good news for you. You can go back to pushing more than 20% buttons soon!

When playing power oriented ranger with both bows and spiders, single warrior is not even an issue. But when you face a group, having some hammer warriors, they make a lot of trouble outside of RaO

My mind is blown right now. I thought the Burnfall guy was just trying to get a rise, but people think Hammer is the Warrior OPness now? I think I rolled off of the side of the bed that slipped me through the fabric of the universe I was born in and sent me spiraling into another.
Everyone everywhere always said the Hammer was too slow to be useful. People tried to make videos and say “Hey look, this weapon works”, and others would just be like “Yeah nah, you fought bads, too vulnerable to A, B, C, D, E, F, ….”.
But now it’s imba. What happened to Mace/Shield+GS? Is that not imba anymore because people just front-load hammer damage?

I can’t help but feel like that Mesmer would have complained about Warriors being imba.
I don’t know what T1 zerg fights are like in WvW. Maybe it’s irritating to see a train of Warriors Earthshaker down a line of people. However, every time I’ve been a part of a “zerg vs. zerg” fight that felt substantial enough to call it a zerg, it was barely a fight anyway. People either didn’t know what they were doing and reacted terribly to a coordinated offensive, or they did and it was basically a numbers game. Combined with all the lag and often skill delay (at least for me) that goes with it, I don’t see how you could even begin to balance a game around that situation to begin with.
I was always the aggressive Hammer/GS Warrior in WvW who went hard in the paint into the enemy to get them to scatter and lose focus. What I remember most wasn’t killing everyone with my imba, but the decided lack of bags from player deaths, since I often would only hit 5-10 people before needing to get out of dodge. Then I’d be lucky if I even found the bags.
But I digress. Please, offer up a suggestion for changing Hammer warriors that would solve the problem you have with them in a way that makes us think you understand what the class is/needs. I’ll wait.

Why wouldn’t you try out a class that has a spec that hard counters 2 popular builds? It’s the player’s fault for not trying to counter Hambow en masse that results in more players switching. If we saw more Mesmers, Power Necros, Power Rangers (XD), and any other of the numerous counters to the current Warrior meta builds you would see less of them.

Because as a hammer warrior you basically get an aoe stun every 5 seconds. Also it’s not as if the hammer hits for 0 damage.
You know what would make it balanced?
1) Lengthen the adrenal cooldown . It would be different if it took a while to gain adrenaline, but honestly it isn’t.
2) If you miss with the adrenal the adrenaline should be used up. You took the leap, did the action yet there’s no punishment for it. So if someone was coordinated enough to escape the first one, not to worry, you get a do-over in a few seconds.
3) Healing signet…..enough said.

I have ZERO problems with taking down Warriors with my Necro. Hell even on my Warrior I have no problems taking other Warriors down either. It is a classic case of just needing to know your enemy and how to avoid their strengths.

400 health per second with no adrenal health or regen. This combined with stuns makes warrior very survivable while still maintain the ability to deal decent damage. Go mace/shield+hammer and you have an AOE knockback, 2 second knockdown, 8 sec weakness(so enemy is only hitting you for full dmg 50% of the time and with hammer cd reduc you have almost 100% weakness on a single target), 2 seconds AoE stun for burst, a block, 1 sec daze, 1 sec stun and a 3 sec stun. Between all of that time when your opponent is not dealing damage, you are regenerating at least 400 health per second and that is if you don’t have adrenal health which most warriors have. Combine this with the most common utilities, endure pain and berserker stance and you can turtle up pretty nicely.
Now for some simple math. Obviously we’ll have to assume all hits connect just to see an optimal put out but since it is unlikely you will cycle off 2 fully charged burst skills we’ll only use the mace one for calculation. Adding together all of the skills in this one weapon set that prevent foes from attacking gives us:
Shield bash(1 sec stun)Pommel(1 sec daze)Skull crack(3 sec stun)Shield stance(3 sec)Staggering blow(We’ll say 1 sec just from the knockback+interrupt)Backbreaker(2 seconds)Endure Painx2(One active and one from trait gives 8 seconds without stance boost)=1+1+3+3+1+2+8=18 seconds give or take some time assuming you do not repeat any skills or tumble and the enemy doesn’t stun break during your longer than 1 sec skills. Now if you put skull crack at the end and have signet up the entire time that is 407+(adrenal health, lets use a conservative stage two stat of 240) per second. 407+240(18)=11646 hp in 18 seconds while taking minimal damage due to stuns/blocks etc.
That is more than 50% hp for most classes and honestly I’d kill for that type of sustain on my ele.
Now I know this is entirely situational, not all stuns will hit, not all enemies will waste a stun break on the 1 sec stuns, etc etc. This entire setup however only requires 30 points in a tree most warriors already go into anyway for adrenal and hammer cds.
I’m not saying nerf signet or nerf adrenal or nerf stuns. I’m just pointing out that when all of that is combined, it can be quite annoying to deal with and requires almost no managing of utilities or healing skills like other classes must do, that healing is entirely passive.

I completely agree.
As a ranger myself, not only that we have very low skill access, our pets are handicap by a handicap AI; can’t even attack moveable targets and can’t even substain aoe whatsoever, the lists goes on.
Also, Arena.net nerfed our class so much that we are called many names just for being ‘the weaker vehicle’ in the game.
Seriously, we rangers have suffered enough so much that we’ve been begging Arena.net since day 1 for us to stow our pets because its very poor status.
So what more do you want from our class? to delete the class entirely from the game?
well, we also had asked for it, but only in resulting in more nerfs.
So there…….
accept the truth and move on.
leave us to our solitary life.

Adrenal health gives health every 3 seconds. Adrenaline would not even be at stage 1 after skull crack because it is very slow to generate with the hammer. One of those endure pains only activates when hit under 25% health. Nothing in that setup will stop condition damage. Anyone who can use that full combo should get a lottery ticket. Any class with that kind of best case scenario would be OP.

I am referring to PvP.
What most Warriors run right now is HamBow, which has no reflections or blocks of any description. Using Rampage and some poison means you can have 20 seconds where the Warrior can’t do much to you, especially if they are running soldiers because no stun = no damage.
Of course, I never said that Power Rangers were worth using atm, but they are the best option vs HamBow Warriors. I would say that Ranger’s main problem is how their class is designed in terms of pets that force them into Spirits. The history of Rangers in PvP was that they are either broken or weak, now they have one decent build with not a ton of options otherwise.
