Guild Wars 2

So I’ve had my charr warrior since release and I love using him, running around striking fear (hate?) into people around me… but recently I’ve wondered if there are actual reasons why it is not the best race to use for the role?

Specifically when I am using GS, I can watch videos of warriors dueling and when they use GS-3 the whirl I always see big numbers on everyone in their path, but I can never, ever seem to replicate this when I am dueling. I seem to just slide through people and only do damage like 1/4 of the time, even when they dont dodge. That’s 0 damage, I’m not talking about just small numbers.

Is this skill coded to hit regardless of the animation or are the two tied? When I use the skill as a big charr I notice the blade is as expected swinging around my body, but there is noticably large gaps where the sword wouldn’t be touching anyone. Does this matter? Or is it just a case of everyone avoiding my attacks because theyre so god kitten easy to see?

I guess good to know, still I find myself wishing I had saved beastly charr for a different class nowdays… good for running with zerg though I suppose :/

Definitely.

GS3 is best used against someone moving away from you. You get more hits in cause they stay within that hit radius longer.

If you are crippled, chilled or lack swiftness there is a higher likelihood of more hits in whirlwind attack connecting.
