Violette Glory [Warrior]
Bala Rama [Herald]
For times when you just can’t melee, you’re on a meta build and you just have to use that rifle.
Whats the top DPS skill rotation?
I know this doesn’t answer your main question, but at least in PvE longbow is the superior ranged weapon even for power builds. You get decent sustained damage with autoattack and have access to fire fields and a blast to stack might. If you put a sigil of strength in it, then your primal burst is good for stacking might.
I’m guessing the best rotation for power longbow is the same as for condi, so you can look that up if you want. Unfortunately since I always use that for ranged I haven’t looked into how to optimize dps for rifle. Wish I could be more help.

This is an outdated statement. Especially now with the Berserker Elite spec, it’s even more obvious which weapon is more suited for power build.
If you don’t believe me, just use a warrior full zerk, and compare the damage while in zerk mode (and outside of it) on a Golem. Rifle is simply better. Longbow 3 is weak compared to Rifle 3, the only good thing might be the auto attack, but rifle auto is faster and you can actually make use of the Burst skill, even more powerful and faster to get adrenaline while in berserker mode.
Longbow used to be more attractive before because it had more utility and decent damage, but right now, compared to what rifle was, it’s a viable weapon and much more suited if you’re using pure power build.

Yea Im pretty sure Rifle is superior for power builds
I try to play it somewhat like a GS, doin’ Signet of fury (since Headbutt is a close up thing)—>Berserker—>Gun flame—>Volley—>Gun flame—>Blood reckoning—>Gun flame
But then I get lost :\ I barely get a 3rd gun flame most of the time
There’s no real fluid rotation to it, as it’s a weapon not really meant to be camped. Traiting for it could reduce cooldowns enough to make the 3rd gunflame possible, but that’s really gimping a build for no substantial gain. Your best option would be swapping to your melee set after that rotation to finish out the Berserk.
Best ranged weapon for warrior is Arc Divider
Warriors don’t have rotations. At least not as a general rule. PVE there are some rotations. (just posted one in another thread)

Wat? lol
In any case there very much are rotations. Simplest one being the power PS warrior. Headbutt>Berserk>F1>100b>F1>Blood Reckoning>F1>Whirlwind>Rush>AAx3>F1 while weaving dodges in between to maintain stick and move. Outside of Berserk you use your skills as they come off CD and continue to weave your dodges, but it’s a fairly set rotation.
No, there are combos. but no rotations. A rotation would be something like D/D Cele Attunement swap pattern. It is a continuous loop which combo’s all the feilds you lay down. Warriors don’t do that. We have Combo Strings, but at any time you will have to change your pattern to adjust to a situation.
Headbutt>Berserk>F1>100b>F1>Blood Reckoning>F1>Whirlwind>Rush>AAx3>F1
Is not a rotation. its a combo, which is not even very effective, you are wasting your bursts with that Combo.
There are rotations in PVE, but in PvP, WvW, warriors are a reactive class that constantly adjusts their play to a situation.
In pvp every class is reactive with the occasional combo off of x situation mechanic, you can’t pull off a rotation because your opponents aren’t scripted to perform in certain ways. if you’re trying to do a rotation in pvp, you’re doing it wrong.
In any case with the example given, that is literally the definition of a rotation based off of priorities. Using certain skills when off CD because they’re always the highest damage damage (GS burst for example, 100b, etc). Not sure what you mean by wasting bursts. In a pve setting that is the exact rotation you would use as a GS warrior. The only wasted burst is one not used.
wonders if he should argue this point
Decides to argue it.
