Are warriors the kings of ranged damage, if so how exactly?

No. Elementalists are the kings of ranged combat. One could argue Mesmers are, but that’s if you count their clones as well.

Ranged damage, not ranged combat. An elementalist with staff or scepter/x has utility.
Damage? Not so much.

I don’t know which profession has the best ranged dps, but im sure, warrior has the best ranged burst. ~20k killshot. Just trait and gear everything for damage.

If you are talking consistent AoE range burst damage, it isn’t even question. Greatsword Mesmers with Phantasm builds are the best. Greatsword autoattacks hit like a truck, hit 3 targets in proximity. And are probably one of the few classes that can get away with going full glass cannon

Elementalists do not nearly have the damage that Warriors and Mesmers have.
