Underwater Combat
I guess it’s not just me then. I dread when I have to fight underwater. My damage just seems to be much lower, whether I’m using a speargun or a spear, and they are both current weapons for my level. I’m much more likely to die underwater than on the ground.
I completely agree, when I played elementalist underwater it seemed like I did so much more damage.
I guess it sort of balances out, after all warriors have some of the highest toughness statistics in the game, and good damage to top it off, I don’t like the fact that you have to keep swimming away with a speargun to keep my damage constant, but then again there are skills such as the skill with immobilising to stop the mobs from coming closer.
Im gonan have to disagree on this one. warriors can be beast underwater. I tear through things by utilizing both of my weapons. The spear stun 2 and 5 are vicious and once they are working on a cooldown you can push back with guns 5 and cripple/burst. I see far too many warriors both in and out of water trying to play strictly melee or ranged when using both tends to open up far more interesting and effective combat.
Of course, undead champion sharks will eat you in one bite regardless of what you do…. dam you megaladon!!!
Most profs struggle underwater. Problem is that nobody has a trait build designed for it. Mesmer is an amazing example of this in that our best land based build is power/precision phantasm while underwater you want condition base illusions due to how the trident illusions function.
