Is this seen as cheesy? I get hate tells all the time from people. When a class spams stealth I simply gs5 the other way until their stealth runs out. When a class kites me with range i just obstruct their view. To me I’m just using terrain to my advantage. What are your thoughts?

If you get hate tells from stealth spammers, and people trying to kite you because you’re nullifying both tactics then you’re doing it right. I take it by the title of the thread you proceeded to win said fights. So the’re just kitten ed they got outplayed by someone they thought was gonna be a free kill.

its perfectly fine aslong as your opponent isnt a necro (which have no mobility whatsoever) and you keep legging it to reset the fight (i still feel bad about doing it, sorry Morgul). it is especially needed against mesmer phantasm builds – use LoS to get all those phantasms together and then drop the hammer or some other big hit to destroy them all in one go – carefull with clones though, some mesmers want you to destroy them to put conditions on yourself.

Anyone using stealth has zero room to complain, at all. Laugh at them for relying on stealth and tell them to learn how to actually play without their pathetic invisibility.

I never feel bad about creating distance to gain an advantage. They can’t keep up? Tough kitten – that’s what they trade for their other class advantages. LoS? That’s what they get for using ranged attacks. If they are stupid enough to continue fighting on your terrain, let them cry at “obstructed” over and over.

I do the same thing against D/P thieves. It’s one of the shortcomings with that set that anyone who knows about can easily exploit. Widely considered to be a cheesy set as well, they have no room to complain.

I normally play in team fights with my low-mobility axe warrior, and it’s highly annoying for GS warriors to constantly run away to reset the fight in hopes of getting lucky. That’s not mobility, that’s cowardly. However, the way you describe it sounds legitimate, and I’d do the same for someone using stealth.

I have reset my fights with necros and other condi classes before. I feel bad about doing it to necro now =(. I mean, I’ll still totally do it but I just won’t /dance on their corpses any more.

I do it to necro as well, but it’s because they’re almost like a counter to my build. I don’t feel bad though. I mean mobility is obviously their weak trait, and capitalizing on their lack of mobility makes total sense to me.

In WvW absolutely. In spvp duel halls I do feel kinda bad sometimes.. I’d still do it if necessary. I try not to leave combat unless absolutely necessary though.
