I have a question about evis – is there some trick to get the evis to hit? Sometimes, I’ll be what I think is out of range, but my evis will hit. Then, I’ll be really close to the guy and it doesn’t hit. Is there a trick w/ the camera angle (similar to how thieves can shorten heartseeker if they angle camera downwards)?

The vid is greatsword + axe/shield, but I’ve done greatsword + axe/mace in the past. Not sure which one I like better yet. Since I often run into outnumbered fights in WvW, I really like the shield to block attacks while I heal up a bit. Then again, I really like mace #5 cos I can knock down 6 people from 1200 range. Which is my better option?

Eviscerate is affected by things like cripple and swiftness.

Dunno about the axe/mace thing. Evis seems to hit hard, but even the slighest ant hill seems to affect mine and misses.

Shield is in my opinion much more viable in WvW. Mace is traditionally used in pve for vuln stacks, and when are you ever going to get the chance to knock down 6 people in a row in WvW when it counts? Mace 5 also has a slight delay since it is technically a ranged attack. Shield gives you access to a block and a stun (which can help you land an evisc), making it better suited to PvP.
