Guild Wars 2

So here it is, most likely my final WvW build for my warrior. Kudos to CoaxialMazer.9140 for giving me some inspiration for a hammer build. Combining high dmg with “high” toughness,mobility and CC.

Epic Vid! Noticed how you owned quite a few mesmers. Any tips on fighting mesmers?

Seeing Hammer hit 5k+ crits to multiple players/clones/downs make me so happy =D

I started to see Hammer builds become more and more viable (atleast for WvW) with cavalier gear. GS is great offhand to go with it too =D, Hope you find the joy of hammer as satisfying as I do, Earthshaker is perhaps my most favored skill in the whole of warrior set (Feels so epic to smash everything and leave a crater ^.^), what do you think you might do after this Final build? Another class? or just relax a bit till anet decides to help buff other weapons to be as fun =P?

Just keep an eye where the real one goes, hard with the culling issues ik. CC/block helps alot aswell and if ur damage is high enough you should be able to take em down before they get you.

Fought an amazing confusion stacking mesmer from Piken the other day, too bad i didnt have Fraps on then, I had no chance against it cos I didnt know that their fields give confusion when you enter/exit it :p Also if you got the minor trait Reckless Dodge in Strenght tree, dont do any unneccessary dodges with all those Confusion stacks. killed myself once or twice cos of that.

Yeah when traited and got the sigil of impact on the hammer, even the auto attack does amazing dmg when its critting

I gotta agree that Earthshaker is also my fav move after WWA tho^^. Planning to run around trying to make some more solo vids using this particular hammer build and probably some bigger guild runs etc. I actually have a lvl 80 mesmer and lvl 80 elem but the pvp on them didnt provide any challenge rly and I found myself getting back on my warrior :P

Haha Im glad. Yea for me Its Earthshaker with a very close WWA. I would love to see this build in Guild or group play in WvW. I expect you dropping 5+ people every couple of seconds into their down state with that build, letting the rest of your group to clean up =D. Have you tried it with 10 into arms to aim for the 100% gaurantee crit chance instead of grabbing defy pain? I originally focused my hammer build with that in mind, since i hate RNG for both items and crit chance, hence crit chance is easier to control >.>

But definetly liking that video, and really would love to see how you use it in Group/zerg/guild vs other Groups/zergs/guilds. I Felt hammer really plays a great defensive/offensive role, but once you burn through the cooldowns , its better to switch to other weapon as its basic attack isn’t as effective (unless your hitting targets while they are CC’ed) as using your secondaries set of skills.

Most likely gonna run some guild raids in the upcoming days and I will post the vid when I get some footage. And yes I had in mind the 10 points in Arms aswell for guaranteed crits but I prefer having Last Stand from Defense since stability means alot in wvw ^^

I was trying hammer out a little a while back with more of a CC role insteand of DPS, now that this build combines both I can just imagine using Earthshaker to get into a enemy group followed by staggering blow, then switching to GS when I get focused and WWA→ Rush out of it ^^

Yeah hopefully ill be able to get some vid sorted out in the upcoming week. I really love playing my warrior and woul’dnt trade it for any class :p. I don’t play sPvP so i can’t say anything about how warrior is in there but for W3 it can be pretty amazing ;D

You have high crit and are looking to roam and go for small scale fights, why not run omnom ghost food to help you survive longer?

My axe build uses Omnomberry Pies already and I wanted to try something new. And the impressive 99% crit dmg with food is so nice ^^.

Wasn’t a female humane Mesmer with staff scepter torch combination by any chance? as that might have been me on my alt.

I like this warrior build as i have very little to change armor wise from my current build +1

Why shouts?
You’re not running soldiers, nor healing shout build…

I R confused

I can understand shake it off because it’s a low cd stunbreak (the condi removal is WEAK though compared to say cleansing fire or guard shout/meditations… ANet anti-warrior bias…ahem) but why FGJ instead of a utility that actually gives some kind of… well, utility.

No, it was a male running staff + scepter/ x. Can’t recall what the offhand was but that build seemed really nice, looked around on youtube and found a couple vids with a confusion mesmer hehe.

Well Shake it Off you already explained, but im using FGJ for the fury and the might obviously. More dmg/more crit and since my hammer build is made to pack quite the punch. I occasinaly switch it for Bulls Charge tho. And its just me, I’ve had FGJ on my utility bar almost ever since I got it and I rarely take something else over it.

I don’t run any A/A build, never really cared for the offhand axe other than tagging mobs in Orr.

Switching shield to mace from time to time , mace is berserker with accuracy sigil aswell.

Pretty much same build with different major traits ,weapons and consumables ^^.

Thanks for the build and video, Laceration. I have always liked the hammer best out of all the warrior weapons.
