WVWVW: Stats and some directions?
if you are running in zerg you use power toughness vitality gear (can tweak your critical rate a bit with trinkets). this is pretty much the only viable thing for zerging, you would run 1h sword / horn and hammer or maybe greatsword / hammer, something like that. because you are frontline at least one utility slot should be stability, better two of them. also endure pain to resist damage spikes.. and maybe berzerker stance for getting adrenaline rolling or something like “for great justice”, might for your friends.
for roaming around in small groups or solo there are a variety of builds with various stat combos for warrior. get to that later :P
You should decide what role you want first.
So consider first what your party size and role is (zerg, small party, roamer/solo, dueler, scout). Then decide what kind of attacks you want to use (ranged, cc, shouts, melee, burst, condition, tank, banners, support, bruiser).
Then list what you come up with. i.e. small party – ranged – support – condition…..then we can give you basic builds and ideas to go from there.
i.e. roamer/solo – melee – burst – bruiser
I mean its pretty much to get you started. Warriors can run a couple different setups in wvsw even if its just for zerg combat. So knowing if you prefer, say rifle burst (gunflame) over hammer cc is a good thing to kno ahead of time when deciding on a build. If you don’t want to think that much about it just join a wvsw guild and let them give you a wvw zerg build to run.
If you don’t know anything about wvsw though and want to try things on ur own…you know: roamer/solo – any weapon, is where you would start.

Soldier gear for zergs, Berserker for roaming (if power of course).
I’d suggest the classic PS frontliner for zergs with hammer/sword-warhorn and Greatsword/Sword-Shield for roaming, as it gives you a ton of mobility, shield stance and a very nice immobilize on the sword burst (use flurry, interrupt the animation with the stow weapon key, switch to GS and 100b them while they’re still immob – works on a surprising number of people). Axe can also be a good replacement for sword.
What better place than here? What better time than now?
The groups I’m running with mostly consist of 15-25 people
I would like to be able to deal some damage in zerg fights but also bring some utility to the table.
Ranged melee I don’t really care.
Hammer/Sword-Warhorn seems like a pretty good combination to me.
