Warrior 100% Critical Chance Bug
There might be a cap. I know i can get my Ranger pet to 102% crit chance and it still doesnt crit all the time, every 9-10 hits i get a non crit.

Maybe. I just tested it out some more, and found that even with 106% critical, I hit noncrits like 1/30 or 1/20 attacks. Not complaining, I just wanna know why 100% isn’t 100% I’m fine with the damage, but I felt like this patch made 100% into 99% or something.
What we might be running across is the stats of the enemy you are attacking. There might be a stat that lowers the chances of a critical hit against them.
(i.e. Dexterity in D&D would allow for a higher chance of critical hit or hit on target and would lower the chances of being hit via Armor Class)
We might be seeing the idea that Toughness or Precision may carry the same concept.

Hmm that’s definitely possible. The monsters I tested against were the fractal 8-18 monsters and the veteran risen giants in Orr. Could there be some sort of anti-crit or anti-damage buff they have?
Most likely, some monsters have effects that reduce attacks, crit, etc against them.
Stats of enemies have effect on what our stats do during combat.

yea, some games offer mitigation to everything.
the last game i played cirt relied on lvl difference, armor difference, your precision vs their precision, etc.
im sure theres a sprinkle of that in this game but they dont want us to know anything lol. testing could bring some light on this though, altough it would be so time consuming to account for so many variables its crazy.
Ok, I ran a few dungeons with 30/10/0/0/30, with heightened focus and the banner(so like 106%crit) and I’m DEFINITELY not hitting 100% crit. Pre-sky pirates I was though…what did they change in this patch that is affecting the crit % cap?
Maybe u had weakness? Cause that also affects crits now
Maybe. I know I hit a non crit with 102% and no weakness though, on some other monsters.
crit hit is capped @ 75% for wuvwuv, critdamage bonus is uncapped.

Maybe you are seeing the new glancing effect? Glancing was changed with the latest patch to activate on all attacks, while pre-patch it was activating only on non-crits.
I noticed that when I fumble, there is no crit in that case.
Ok. I figured out what is going on. I did some more tests just now, and I figured out, I have 100% crit until fury has only 1/4 duration left. Then, even though the boon is there, it wears off, and I start hitting non crits!
What level were the NPCs in the dungeon you were in?
There has always been a feature in the game that causes your attacks to glance off when they are higher level than you.
