Warrior 1v1 Duel & ownidge builds?
I take it there isn’t any builds that can make this profession playable in wvw
Well Generally GS/Axe-shield, GS/sword-shield are the best dueling sets for roaming builds that offer the ability to fight 1v2’s if you play properly. And yes Full zerker is the way to go since bunker warriors are not the best for 1v2’s or 1v1s. I have heard of a few PVT Axe-Shield/x shout builds that say they do well against other builds, but I personally don’t think they can 1v2 or fight another class specced for bunkering as they will just have to part ways not being able to kill each other.
I run a Hammer/Sword-Shield Build that boasts considerable Toughness and 22k HP but bursts like a glass cannon for a few seconds every time i have Earthshaker up. I don’t recall losing to anyone in 1v1 yet, but I have had a couple of stale mates against ele and guardian bunkers where neither can kill each other. If you Earthshaker + staggering blow a group of squishies, its possible to do 1v2 or 1v3 if you land your full burst and down 1 or 2 right away, but its very difficult for warriors to be able 1vgroup like other classes.
There are some reasonable tough-but-tpvp-unviable builds you can run if you work them out in the mists. Skull crack shout builds allow you strong HB bursts with survivability.
Any burst build with lyssa and empowered traited will troll WvW noobs too, which is essentially what you’re suggesting :p

Solo roaming WvW is difficult to do as a warrior 1v1 no problem but 1v2 or 1v3 is really tough but I often run with a small team (3-5) and together we often take on 2-3 times our numbers and win.

Thank you, this was the answer i was looking for i’ll pm you for build details if thats okay? im fed up of feeling like im running a profession with a disadvantage, anet need to do something about us and stop limiting us to running the most squishy heavy armour in the game.

Your just going to have to accept that you can roam like a thief or ele can. Its just not going to happen you can have certain engagements where you can do 1v2 maybe 1v3 etc but it has to be certain classes you are fighting for that to happen or a mashup of like 2 80’s 1 underleveded staff ele or something.
That said the other guy is right with Axe/shield for dueling you can roam with it if you pair with GS. Its full glass from most of the builds I see. I run full Zerker Hammer/GS I roam alot
If you come across a Necro or a Bunker Guardian in a situation your outnumbered I would just go the other way. Nothing against warriors I love my warrior I play it the most now and rarely get on my thief. Its just that a warrior just has limits currently.
Against a good well necro you are barely touching him its just impossible to get next to him with out getting conditions applied over and over again that you can eat unless you run some shout healing condition removal build.

I run sword/shield/GS and Axe/shield/GS when soloing around in a rather tanky build. I beat guardians all the time unless some random person come to help em, I have won 2 v 1 – 3v1 against many classes and my only weakness seems to be REALLY good elementalist who either hold their ground until help arrive or run away… If you can get the enemies under water though, they be good as death lol.
Most zerker warrs in WvW roll around killing people very quickly as a good percentage of solo/pair roamers are PvEers trying to get their map completion done or do the jumping puzzle to get their badges. Zerker x/S+GS warriors are hilariously ineffective against any halfway decent player, if you want that type of playstyle you’re better off rolling a thief and 4 button winning, it’s faster and you can run away if it doesn’t work out.
Also in my personal opinion winning a 1v2+ is less to be said about the quality of the winning player and more to be said about the other two. I’ve taken down as many as 5 (with one rally in the middle mind you) but it wasn’t because I’m that great of a player, it was that the other players weren’t very good.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Try GS/Hammer. Take 0/20/30/0/20, traits like unsuspecting foe, last stand/merciless hammer, gain adren on hit, signet mastery, runes of lyssa, fire sigils on both weapons + PVT/Knight’s+Berserker gear. As utility, Bulls, Bolas/Balanced/Fear Me, SoS, SoR. Works pretty well, you have nice damage from hammer outside of GS skills, and CC + double cripple. Keep in mind, you’re vunerable to CC builds if you don’t take any form of Balanced Stance.
