Warrior 2hd 1-10 lvl
It depends on what you fight. Against normal enemies, i.e not Veterans or anything fancy, it is all about killing them before they kill you at lower levels.
Do you even lift, bro?
I have had 3 centaurs on me at one point and in 3 solid hits I’m fighting for my life and this happens everytime
Were they higher level than you? Just one or two levels gives them a massive advantage.
Do you even lift, bro?
1. Have Healing Signet but try not to use it.
2. Eat Apple Pie (lvl 10), Candy Corn Custard (lvl 10), Banana Cream Pie (lvl 25) or Grape Pie (lvl 40).
3. When you start getting low on health, kite the enemy(ies) until you regen most of your HP back.
Bonus 1: If you fancy, use a longbow. Longbows let you shoot things that are behind you (#3 and F1)
Bonus 2: Have Vit gear so you have more HP to regen. Toughness won’t do much unless you can stack lots of it (which you can’t at a low level) but every point in Vit are points of HP and if you’re constantly regening, it effectively makes your health bar that much longer.
Bonus 3: Watch out for Poison and kill ranged foes first.
Also, you can run the Warrior signet build which gives you percision for every unused signet but that requires you take that trait (Deep Cuts in Arms) which will give you a huge crit chance and kill fast. However, you still need to survive if you can’t kill the target.
Bonus #4: You can combine the regen method and signet method since, of course, Healing Signet is a signet…
PS: When I was lvling a warrior, I had trouble at first too with simple mobs. Then I read some pointers about low lvl regen. I used the regen method up into the lvl 60s with decent success but it starts to be less effective by around lvl 40 when foes hit alot harder than what you can regen every second. But in the low levels? When foes are hitting for 20-60pts and you’re regening 20-30 pts every second (note: mobs don’t hit every second, they have delays between), you’re pretty much immortal. I went from struggling with 2 same level foes to taking down mobs a couple lvls higher in the lvl 20s and 30s.

don’t use frenzy.
use signet of stamina for endurance and condition removal, or “shake it off” shout.
centaurs use bleeds etc.
Here are my tips from a level 12 Warrior, for all it counts.
Use Healing Signet. Seriously, it’ amazing at low levels (I can’t speak to its effectiveness at high levels yet). You can stand there and just face tank a single enemy without getting damaged. I’ve even stood still for a good 10s in a group of 5 or so enemies before I actually started getting hurt.
Try Banner of Defense. It gives extra health and toughness in an area, for a full minute. If you know you’re fighting a tough enemy, or a group, just drop it in the area you’ll be fighting in before you start and it gives you a nice boost. Also, you can pick it up and use it to give area swiftness, which is always nice.
Also try Endure Pain. 5 seconds of immortality is pretty amazing. You can use it to revive a friend, or while you’re waiting for your heal to come off cooldown, or to use a long channeled ability without getting hurt, like Hundred Blades. Or if your dodges are all used up and there is a big hit coming that you can’t avoid, it can really save you.
Try to avoid the greatsword. I tried it, and its damage was WAY lower than the hammer. The hammer has Weakness on #2 which reduces damage enemies do to you, an AoE knockback on #4, a single target knockdown on #5, and an AoE stun with your F1. It’s probably my favourite weapon so far.
Thats pretty much all the advice I can give you right now, hope it helps!
Oh, also when you’re fighting, try to always move behind the enemy. This can avoid a LOT of damage, because some enemies will stop moving and just attack forward while you move behind them and avoid the hit completely

I playes my warrior with GS at fist. I soon reached a point when I only got quests with higher leveled mobs like I was lvl 9 they where lvl 12 or so. I hit a brickwall. If you have problems like me run events to close the gap or go to another startingzone and gain the needed levels.
If you face mobs with similar level it was a breeze. Often pulled 3 veterans and soloed them with GS because it is fun. You need to know when to use 100B though

idk, I just started playing this game and I like the greatsword just fine. I also use a rifle, the bolo CC, the might sig, the regen thing as well, and I upgrade my equipment with might gear. I just bolo-blast stuff till they get close, rifle butt them and repeat till I cant then I blow might and 100B them. Not much lives through that. Its pretty rare that I need to run away from anything. and I usually get away np if I do have to. The whole dodge and roll thing is really awesome, BTW.
i just got my warrior to 80 this week, and all i can tell you is to STICK WITH IT. it’s definitely worth it. when you get to lvl 65 and you can start wearing knights gear, it’s like a ray of light in a dark tunnel. i have another lvl 80 and 2 others above 50, and warr is definitely the one i feel most dominant on right now. i run around in wvw just dumping on ppl. so i advise to stick with it! and i realize you said you prefer solo play, but come on; it’s called an MMO. make a friend or 2 and run around in a small group or duo. it makes the game 10x better IMO
