Hey guys, just me playing with alt WAR build and want some feedback and opinions. I recently have been enjoying this build for open world PVE and low level fractals. What do you guys think.

I know that the “Full berserker gear best dps” meta, but I honestly get bored of it and it usually doesn’t go well in the HoT areas since things just eat you alive. Dodging of course helps but then again that’s limited. Of course ranged weapons help too do you can just replace the Axe/Warhorn combo with Longbow. I tried to do a high dps and focus the survivability in high armor.

The extra toughness/armor is for full zerking into a monster to pull off combos when your in Berserker mode without having to worry too much about dodging in or out for a while. The start of the combo would be to Build up adrenaline and use Arcing Slice to get Fury up, use FGJ and drop banner as well. Then you Headbutt > Outrage > Berserker Mode > Arc Divider > Swap > Axe 2 > Decapitate > Swap > Hundred Blades > Arc Divider > Swap > Axe 2 > Decapitate > Swap > Auto Attack until full > Arc Divider. There are also other variations in this combo set too but this one is what I just got used to. It’s actually fun to just wail on the enemy with the ability to spam your Adrenaline moves.


Healing Signet: For the passive heals
Outrage: For combo/quick stunbreaker
Banner of Discipline: Shared AoE damage increase (Can also swap with Strength if needed)
For Great Justice: Shared AoE damage increase + helps keep Fury upkeep
Headbutt: For combo/stunbreaker/adrenaline


Sigil of Force: More Damage
Sigil of Strength: Extra Might
Rune of Rage: More ferocity to make up for the spots toughness take, as well as more Fury up-time.

The Strength Line is your standard damage build; Restorative Strength, Forceful GS and Berserker’s Power.

The Berserker Line is all out damage; Smash Brawler, Blood Reaction, Bloody Roar.

This is the main reason why I replaced the Tactics trait-line with Discipline.
Warrior’s Sprint: The extra movement speed to get around coupled with warhorn (which can also blast if needed). Also helps break roots which happens a lot in the new HoT areas.

Brawler’s Recovery: To help with some conditioning problems. This build lacks the ability to remove much conditions so this can be helpful since your swapping weapons in combat multiple times.

Burst Mastery: Since your adrenaline spam is the main point of this build, this helps out A LOT since it’s damage increase as well as adrenaline refund. It is what helps keep up the combo when your spamming.

Remember this is a build of open world, and some low level fractals (20 and down). It’s meant to be different as well as a strong source of damage. It possible to couple this with a Phalanx Strength warrior too. It is also mostly for fun.
