Warrior Alternative CC Build
same concept i use but with different traits and instead of shield i use warhorn.
i think GS/S is even more superior than mace build not just for the longer lockdown but also for the high mobility you get, it is very dangerous if played right basically its Eviscerate/Skull crack on wheels.

That’s true I just feel better about this build because I feel like it has a higher skill cap, since landing the skills is a little harder. I don’t feel as guilty when I beat people up anymore since during immobilize, they can fight back and since it counts as a condition, it can be cleared off easier, so I won’t get any more “oh you have an op build” excuses when I beat the same person 3 times in a row
Well … people seem to still get confused at the difference between a Sword and Mace atm and wonder why their stun break failed to clear immobilise.

That does happen, but then at that point it’s a l2p issue right? It’s not op, just that the person didn’t know how to counter it any advice? I’d really like to just keep this build instead of mace so do you guys think its solid?
Just a quick question about transitioning from flurry: Do I have to let the whole flurry animation sequence run its course in order to inflict the 4 second immobilize on my target, or can I swap to great sword as soon as the flurry hits and still inflict the long immobilize?

Best advice I can give is never to use shield bash to set up flurry if you’re going to swap to GS straight after. Bugs the animation and locks skills for a few seconds.
Also, no the initial hit will apply the 4 second immobilise, you can swap straight after using the burst into 100b.

Thank you, Chaosbroker! I just learned something new (and awesome).

After hearing so many complaints about how mace+shield/GS was really overpowered and should be nerfed, I realized the odds of that happening was very large. Since I ran a variant of that build, I decided to come up with an alternate build that ran with a similar play-style but wasn’t too complaint->nerf worthy. Here it is:
http://intothemists.com/guides/1142-alternate_lockdown_buildThe point of the build is to land the adrenaline skill of the sword, flurry, which, with everything added in, is 4.5 seconds of immobilize. That’s plenty of time to switch to greatsword and use hundred blades. But, if the enemy manages to clear off immobilize, completing the flurry adds tons of bleed damage anyway. The sword is used to keep close to the enemy and bleed them, as well as deliver flurry, and if necessary near the end of a battle, final thrust. The shield can be a block and a stun that leads up to final thrust or flurry. The greatsword is used to chase, run, and dps. There should be a little more info on the build page. Anyway, please comment, criticize, I’m totally fine with crazy brutal harsh criticism but lets just focus on the build. What do you think? Is it less complaint worthy but still gets the job done? Thanks!
flurry adds tons of bleeds but for a very short amount of time and unless you have osme condition damage really not a note worth amount of damage.
you got another issue but if your opponent has a invul skill such as endure pain he can flip it and easily tank you bleeds while dealing damage to you.
although the mentioned build would be reliable way to get 100blades off but it won’t be a mace sh gs build.
