Just wanted to reference a bug I found tonight with Shield Master’s +90 toughness bonus. Basically, sometimes it incorrectly subtracts some Toughness from your stat total (-100, in the video below).

My bad, this isn’t a bug – the -100 toughness was from going under 90% and losing the Thick Skin buff.
just found out that rifle cannot break the binding roots. i was shooting the root for at least 10 times in wvw, none were hit, all obstructive. melee weapon swap on CD, i was immobalized for good.
This thread needs to be updated… The changes for few of the skills have been made. Sami if you could amend ASAP
After Jon Peters revealed that ArenaNet doesn’t know how severe the Fast Hands cooldown bug is, I thought some further info on it might be appropriate. Here’s what I wrote in a thread that will probably soon disappear into the depths of the forum.
“I realize the issue is complex. However I have no trouble reproducing it by following a simple guideline that first weapon swap every time after resetting combat flag will cause 10 second cooldown. This is NOT how the bug exactly works which will be relevant to a programmer fixing it. I have seen an impressively detailed report for it on bug report forum within first weeks of launch which is why I stopped investigating further.
I just logged in to verify before posting this again. I ran out of Black Citadel to Diessa Plateau and attacked the first Moas I saw. Weapon swap – 10 seconds. I switched weapons twice more during that fight, 5 second both times. I then finished off the moas and let the combat flag expire. I kept swapping weapons until it wasn’t giving any cooldown anymore (this takes a bit longer than the visual combat flag and movement speed slow). Then I attacked a grub. Weapon swap – 10 seconds. Next swap 5 seconds. Finish grub, wait, verify swap cooldown is gone. Attack next grub. Weapon swap – 10 seconds.
It is my experience that the cooldown bug happens in nearly every WvW engagement I do and frequently causes me to die while waiting for the cooldown, or lets someone escape who couldn’t have done so otherwise. I may never reach the second swap before fight is decided."

Short version of the Fast Hands bug (please feel free to touch up as necessary):
The first weapon swap with Fast Hands while in combat will be 10 seconds, and subsequent Fast Hands swaps will be 5 seconds. If any of those subsequent swaps occur out of combat, it is still 5 seconds (when it should be .5), and the next weapon swap in combat is 10 seconds.

Was working my way through the various bugs last night, still have a load more to verify before I purge the list (although to be honest not much is being purged).
Recently against underwater mobs, while in the middle of DPSing with a spear, I’ll get “Invulnerable” messages. If I’m alone, the mob resets, several seconds pass, and then I can hit it again. I unfortunately have no idea right now as to what is causing it, but I do know it doesn’t have anything to do with me pushing the mob through a rock or anything, as it has happened in the middle of open water.
Has anyone else experienced this? It’s been a recent occurrence, and might have something to do with Tsunami Slash.
Not a Warrior issue – when mobs often bug out underwater and go invulnerable. It’s code that’s added in to prevent you from killing mobs in ways that prevent them from ever being able to reach you (same if you shoot them from cliff edges and there’s no real way up to you).
Signet of Rage (Elite) interferes with certain abilities.
Example: I press 4 and then 0 very quickly within half a second. Despite pressing 4 first, signet of rage is activated and also INTERRUPTS horn 4 ability putting it on a interrupt cooldown. It also interrupts sword 3.
Can’t verify this – can you fraps it? All my tests had the skills activating properly in the right order.
Updated the thread. There’s a few big posts (dodge rolls and the like) which need to be merged in which I’ll do tomorrow, but besides that everything should be up to date. Removed a few duff bug entries.
Okay, I very SINCERELY hope I am just missing or overlooking something because the way the bugs seem to be piling up as I’ve now begun to be really focused on the finer details of various builds for various purposes and these bugs just keep shutting down potential builds, combos, etc., and it’s REALLY starting to kitten me off! So here’s another ‘questionable’ ability I’ve run across:
Trait Tactics: Numeral VI – Empowered
Increases damage for every Boon on you
Alright, so it doesn’t specify how much damage is increased per boon but this isn’t new to A-Net’s style of tooltips and descriptions. We can of course assume their is some increase in damage though, on that much at least the description is clear. Here in lies the problem though; After activating this trait skill no where on the Hero tab that outlines your stats is ANY amount of increase in damage reflected. If your PWR, Attack, Weapon Damage and Conditional Damage are W, X, Y and Z respectively before activating this trait skill they remain exactly W, X, Y and Z after activating the trait skill. There is no stat or point value anywhere that I could find that changes AT ALL. No observable feedback demonstrating ANY change from this traits activation. And of course due to however attack damage is figured from strike to strike there is then NO POSSIBLE WAY to confirm if this trait skill is or is not indeed active and effecting your damage.
Please, someone tell me I’m wrong, that I’m missing or overlooking something. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THIS ONE ISN’T BROKEN TOO. I’m really honestly getting so fed up with this. It’s enough that they are so ambiguous in our tooltips and descriptions of a majority of our skills but then to have so many of them not only completely broken, but broken in such a way that it’s so subtle to be hard to realize they’re broken.
Again, PLEASE tell me I’m wrong about this one being broken. Sadly I have a sneaky suspicion I’m not though. Oh yeah, and if it’s occured to you that maybe you could use the ‘Empower Allies’ trait skill like it did me? Uh yeah, same deal, either that doesn’t effect you the caster of said skill (and who knows if it even effects our allies now that I think of it) or there is no feedback reporting that it has increased your damage and so no way to know if it’s working at all of course.
Unless someone can point out where I’m mistaken throw this one on the pile to then I guess.
P.S Above all though, what is REALLY SO GAWD KITTEN FRUSTRATING ABOUT ALL THIS THOUGH? They have yet, 3 months into the game made no attempt at fixing even the first of these actually meaningful bugs for us. Let alone even acknowledge them. The “BIG PATCH? They fixed some icons. Icons! EFFIN ICONS!!!!!!!!!!

I retract the above but I’ve left it in should anyone happen in here asking the same questions. Thank you very much to the Warrior communtiy for helping me to understand this skill and it’s implementation. As it turns out it seems an even more powerful trait skill than I was guessing. On the order of potential for a 2 – 10% flat damage increase – pretty huge in my humble opinion.
Throw the Superior Sigil on your wep(s) that gives a 5% flat damage increase too and it starts looking even sexier. An axe / axe combo immediately lept to mind personally. With such a weapon combo we’re talking about lightning fast adrenaline production, far better Adrenal ability, much more flexiblity and mobility over the GS, and now possibly DPS that matches or maybe even slightly exceeds the GS with use of this trait skill. It appears to me as a pretty big step up in damage output that doesn’t hinge on one attack that depends on several cooldowns and roots you for it’s duration as well. At least in my estimation that is (and that may be an understatement to be honest).
So thanks again to our Warrior community here and it appears that this trait skill is indeed fully functioning as described.

What the fluffy kitten are you on about? I updated it yesterday. You know, all those posts above your rant about something that isn’t bugged. The bug listing on the first page also has timestamps on when it was last updated at the bottom of the posts.

In the Fractals dungeon it seems the “sweet revenge” trait isn’t working. Can anyone confirm this?

Sure Footed: all values taken from the buff icons that appear when you activate the stance.
Balanced stance went from 8s to stability to 10s (25%)
Frenzy went from 4s to 5s (25%)
Endure Pain went from 3s to 4s (more than 25%)
Berserker stance wen from 8s to 10s (25%)
Endure Pain’s actual duration is lower than what’s on the tooltip anyway so this isn’t surprising. What Sure Footed doesn’t do is update the skill tooltip. I’ll add it on to the list.
Pretty sure that Fast Healer is working. When I had 20 in utility and started to revive somebody, i’ve seen 2 numbers popping up at the same time – f.ex 636 and 64.
Without it there is only the first number.

This is a huge one: shield block doesn’t block guardian’s sword 5 pull. You get pulled and your block is cancelled.
Right, hate to break it to you all but I’m no longer playing the game. I haven’t played properly for a month or so but have kept the thread up to date, but now it needs somebody to take over.
Once it has been decided amongst yourselves, you can just quote my posts to create a new thread. Report the new thread to the mod team and ask them to sticky it (and unsticky this one) – when I did it the mods responded within a couple of minutes.
Good luck getting the class bugs fixed – if you ever succeed I may just come back to the game.

Well it is broke and needs fixing because i have been getting this with foes every where, land and sea and they can get to me, sometimes i’m right on top of them.
i’m getting a nice lil of collection of screens all of enemies “that can get to me” but are invulnerable.
Banner of Tactics does not give 10% more boon duration. Would be nice if this gets fixed pronto.

Are you sure Heightned Focus isnt working, and just not updating the Hero sheet?
There is a post on gw2Guru by someone who tested it and says that it is working, but the hero sheet isnt being updated, much like Sigil of Accuracy.
Currently sigil of hydromancy and also sigil of restoration seems to not work. I tried hydromancy on a shield and restoration on gs and warhorn.
Rush: When used on large enemies, causes the player to run into them until the skill completes without attacking.

the F1 skill on GS “ARCING SLICE” it does not stack the correct amount of might
The Warrior Discipline line trait “Sweet Revenge” (100% chance to rally if you kill someone while in Vengeance) absolutely does not work against Skritt that emerge from Wintersday giant presents. I have tested the trait by allowing Skritt emerging from the presents to down me, activating Vengeance, killing a Skritt and still being defeated. I’ve also tested it against a non-holiday mob, a Warg, in the same fashion. Against the Warg, it worked as intended.
In my opinion, the Arcing Slice bug where it gives Might isn’t bugged as OP suggests, IIRC in beta it actually gave might as well. Seeing as LITERALLY NOBODY uses this rubbish skill in it’s current Fury for 11s state, I would think that the additional might would make it worth using… though 15 stacks seems a tad bit OP. With this, Signet of Might (though I’d choose FGJ) and Signet of Rage, you could almost permanently have 25 stacks of might, or 875 Power and Cond Damage at level 80 (which is insane).
Add Five hits of auto-attack, OMM and then 100b and that should give you a 15k 100b, give or take a little with crits.
Personally, I think it SHOULD give might as well as Fury, as the description states, but maybe only 10 stacks at cap.
Anyway, I think the bug is that it isn’t applying Might correctly.

Not tried Endure Pain/Shake it Off traits, but Last Stand works for me just fine. Infact it applies the stun break/stability so fast you don’t even get interupted by the CC Great for stomping!

Found new bug – Defense trait Sure-Footed doesn’t increase Endure Pain duration (though it IS stance as noted in tooltip) and doesn’t increase Defy Pain proc duration as well.
Also looks like Defy Pain is not working properly as well, as sometimes it does activate and sometimes it doesn’t, though there is nothing about cd on it (though icd is possible, but should be added to description than).
Also Endure Pain has unclear tooltip: Take no damage from attacks, but you do take condition damage. Both if it’s bug or if it’s intended it should be stated more clearly (like “Take no damage from direct damage attacks”).
I’m also having trouble expecially with the “Tactics” trait line, in which the burst skills damage doesn’t increase after the first point assigned.
In addition the feat “Heightened focus” doesn’t work, i checked my stats at full adrenaline and i didn’t recieve any bonus to critical chance.
Useless to say i had to spec my warrior in a completely different way.
I also have a different problem with the “Balanced Stance” feat of the Defense trait line instead the one previously reported: it appears to work randomically, a lot of times it doesn’t work at all even if the cooldown has ended from a long time (or short, it souldn’t make any difference)
Last but not least i’ve got a serious problem with Greatsword Burst Skill “Arching Slice”, it should add might and fury in base on how many stacks of adrenaline you have built, but it gives me only fury and that is clearly a big handicap.
I hope that all of those bugs will be fixed soon, expecially the last one. Thank you for your patience and attention.
I have notices that “Mobile Strikes” is not breaking certain roots since the patch. Such as the Guardian’s Chains of Light. I was wondering if anyone has noticed/reported this as a bug.

There have been times where I’ve remained rooted through a Whirlwind Attack using Mobile Strikes. Unless there is 1 frame between the immo break and the evasion trigger that this person happened to hit in the luckiest timing of his life, this specific scenario should be impossible. I’ve also seen my Rush animation go while under Chains, though I could not confirm whether it was due to the chains landing immediately after starting Rush (feasible, though typically unlikely), or because I used Rush right as it landed and it didn’t remove the immo.
It’s something that I wish I could test more thoroughly.

Spvp bug: When frenzy is activated and you try to finish an enemy it won’t work. 1/2 times. You have to wait a good 1/2 seconds after the enemy is down to cast the finisher.
Not sure when this was fixed, but the forceful greatsword trait now properly grants might on spear crits.
Not sure if it’s mentioned yet, didn’t find it through searching, but endure pain does not block certain attacks, mainly in fractals it seems. The attacks i’ve come across so far are, captain ashyum’s meteor shower and champion rabsovich’s shockwave from what i remember at the moment. Ill be sure to write more down as I come across them, i know there is more.
Also the trait to have 100% chance to vengeance does not work on a lot of mobs. Especially those that are summoned, or part of a wave type encounter, which could be intended. Some examples are the airship in arah story mode and cultist in fractals, again ill add more as I find them.

I’ve recently found 2 bugs with traits:
-Restorative Strength: It’s supposed to remove certain conditions (cripple, chill, immobilize, weakness) on use of healing skill. I’ve tried it with Prayer to Dwayna, since it has the highest heal but no condition removal, without ANY effect. The condition would remain the same after healing. No idea why keeping a trait completely inoperative.
-Last Stand: If stance activated while gathering resources, they get ruined. Checked on orichalcum and ancient wood. What’s the point of using a trait that helps you gather smoothly by making you stable, if it ruins the materials?
Endure pain lasts only 3 seconds
The warrior banner of tactics doesn’t work. it says grants regeneration then healing but the healing doesn’t trigger and only the regeneration does. I thought maybe it only works for parties and not myself but it still doesn’t work. Please fix.

It has the healing cross but it doesn’t heal.
Warhorn condition removal/convertion… Its not the last condition applyed thats removed but the weekest. Makes the traitset useless since u ll always have bleeds on u. this is affecting shouts with soldier rune the same way!
