Guild Wars 2

I will be hitting 80 soon on my first character and I need a sort of… introduction to choosing a build. Googling “guild wars 2 warrior greatsword builds” yields sites with hundreds of submitted builds with a list of traits and skills and no explanation, or forum posts with 50 people describing their very specific version of the “best” build. What I need is an explanation of different types/categories of builds, or maybe a list (w/ descriptions!) of the top 5 most commonly used builds. Something a little less daunting for a beginner that will get me going in the right direction. I can branch out and start tweaking once I’ve got the basic options down. I’m thinking of using a greatsword and something ranged, and for now I’m only worried about PvE & dungeons, if that helps narrow it down a bit.

Check the last few pages. They are the updated ones. Watch the initial videos as they utilize similar build and will show you tactics that are not explained in the thread.

Ah, edited to add I’m mainly looking for PvE and dungeon builds right now. Thanks though!
