DESCRIPTION:
Archons are warriors who have practiced the art of battle to the extent of being able manifest objects of destruction out of pure rage. Archons gain access to the Soulforge, which allows them to convert their adrenaline into spiritual weapons that move with the Archon as if they were extensions of his/her own body.
NEW MECHANIC:
When warriors become Archons, their class mechanic completely changes. By pressing F2 the warrior can now forge transient “soul weapons” using adrenaline.
-Each soul weapon costs 1 bar of adrenaline to create.
-An Archon can create up to a max of 5 soul weapons at a time.
-The type of soul weapon created is decided by the Archon’s mainhand weapon.
-Each weapon varies in function and will float along side the warrior as they fight.
-Soul weapons cannot be destroyed, but many new Archon skills sacrifice them for specific effects.
The Archon’s F1 burst mechanic becomes Soulstrike and sacrifices all the warrior’s soul weapons to unleash a powerful attack that is decided by the mainhand weapon the warrior is using. The more soul weapons the warrior has in play, the stronger the effect will be. All traits that affect bursts affect Soulstrikes.
SOUL WEAPONS:
-Rifle: Periodically fires at the enemy, dealing physical damage.
-Sword: Periodically sweeps at enemies within melee range at the enemy, causing 1 stack of bleeding. Cleaves up to 3
-Axe: Periodically strikes the warrior’s target, dealing focused physical damage.
-Longbow: Periodically fires an arrow at the enemy that causes 1 stack of cripple if striking the target’s side or back.
-Greatsword: Periodically sweeps in a 360 around the warrior, causing physical damage to up to 5 surrounding targets. Whirl finisher.
-Mace: Periodically strikes the warrior’s target, causing 1 stack of vulnerability. Also provides toughness to the warrior for each Soul Mace in play.
-Hammer: Periodically strikes the warrior’s target, causing 1 stack of weakness.
SOULSTRIKES:
-Rifle: All of the soul weapons charge up and transform into searing force comets that blast a single target at same time for physical damage. These shots pierce. Projectile finisher x1-5.
-Sword: All of the weapons appear around 1 target within 1200 range and become radiant swords made of pure force that pierce the target, causing heavy bleeding and immobilizing the target.
-Axe: The weapons form into a ghostly Aaataxe, which leaps at the enemy to deal heavy damage and grant the Archon fury. Leap finisher.
-Longbow: The soul weapons break apart into shards of force that bombard the target area with damage and burning. Fire field.
-Greatsword: The weapons become blades of force that encircle the Archon, causing periodic area damage and crippling foes for the skill’s duration. Whirl finisher.
-Mace: The weapons become shields of force that encircle the Archon to create a dome of protection that blocks projectiles. Cures conditions for allies within the field for each second it lasts. Light field.
-Hammer: The weapons become hammers of force that rain on a target area, knocking down foes.
NEW SKILLS:
Mantra of the Body and Soul:
Heals the warrior and grants a charge for each soul weapon in play. The first charge heals for more, the heal per charge reduces as more charges are used. Each time a charge is used, you gain 1 bar of adrenaline.
Mantra of the Pure:
Grants resistance while channeled and grants a charge for each soul weapon in play. Remove a condition when a charge is used. While this skill is channeling, you gain adrenaline for any condition blocked by resistance.
Mantra of Soulwalking:
Breaks stun and grants vigor when channeled. Grants a charge for each soul weapon in play. Teleports you to the target and consumes charges based on the distance traveled. 600m -1 charge +1 might, 900m 2 charges +3 might, 1200m 5 charges +5 might.
Mantra of Force:
Grants fury when channeled. Grants a charge for each soul weapon in play. The secondary use fires a projectile that deals physical damage based on the number of charges the Archon has + an added effect. 2 charges – cripple, 3 charges-immobilze, 4 charges-knockdown, 5 charges, knockdown and autocrit. Projectile finisher.
Mantra of Soulforging:
Grants stability, forges soul weapons, and grants adrenaline while channeled; creating 5 soul weapons and full adrenaline when finished. Grants a single charge on use. When this charge us used, the Archon releases a powerful wave of soul weapons in all directions to deal massive physical damage to surrounding enemies. Breaks stun. Blast finisher.
