Is it just me or is the Sword for Warrior pretty lame? It seems like Dual Wielding service no purpose but for the diversity of 4 / 5 spells…

Sword hits so weak, and the bleed isn’t much better I mean its not like a Boss where you can stack bleeds no one allows a Warrior to just wack them continuously. Then you finally get ready for you burst ability and you wave your sword back and forth like a Musketeer with down syndrome!

Can we please change the sword burst to something cool, exciting? Maybe a weak version of the Whirling Axe that stacks bleeds? That would be very cool instead of the ridiculous animation now that locks you in place and you hope your targets were in range….

Sword main-hand is part of one of the best PvP build right now. It’s an amazing weapons that fit perfectly Celestial gear. The burst skill is so nice in a one vs one right before landing a final trust. But don’t use that in PvE.

Sword off-hand is really good in difficult combat for PvE (especially if you solo/duo a dungeon). The block will help a lot. I think that some PvP build also use the off-hand sword, but its true that off-hand sword could get a little love.

Aside from what Thad pointed out I think you probably just need to try and erase preconceived notions you appear to have about Warriors including their “role”, how combat works, the way their various weapon sets should behave, etc. Once you’ve done that I think you’ll find the Warrior and the game as a whole a lot more enjoyable.

sword mainhand burst is a key ability in wvw and pvp (on the most popular warrior build at the time of this post), the extremely long immobilise is just that good.

if you’re looking for something with a more “power” feel you should try axe mainhand instead.

Given the short range, I would say they should buff a bit the direct damage on the sword F1, or increase the range by just a little bit. Or increase the damage more at level 3. Sword is not bad, but I find myself use more and more only bow F1 in the heat of the battle.

I agree with my fellow warriors. Flurry is definitely one of the better burst skills. AoE immobilize on a 7.5-10 second cooldown? Yes please.

Skull crack needs to be looked at. The nerf made it really hard to land on good players.

What Celest build are you referring to? I don’t PVP on warrior much

Well. I would have loved to see the sword/sword duals being a fast paced power/crit setup with multiple hit skills.
Sadly we got conditions

But yea, as it stands now the burst on sword is pretty fine for Condi and power specs.
Either change the whole concept of the warriors sword or leave it as it is.
