Warrior needs fix
I’m totally agree with you. It’s obviously that warriors are disadvantaged compared with rest of classes in PvP and WvW, and there are many complains suggesting fix in some weapon habilities and traits. I gonna express 2 examples.
If you choose Dps build and equipment, you can have a great damage but other players kill you instantly, but if you are Dps Thief or Mesmer, you have an amazing damage and can easily escape of combat if it’s necesary, the same with other classes like Elementarist or Guardian for example. Otherwise, if you choose Tank build and equipment, your damage is ridiculous, and you can never win a duel like Tank Guardian or Elementarist versions. YESS!! Even Elementarist with light armor is better tank than warrior with heavy armor, this is stupid.
I could enumerate more and more warriors disadvantages in PvP and WvW. I love warrior class and I hope that Anet will take into consideration all these complains about warrior class problems.
Mesmer ability doesn’t adjust direction.
Guardian ability doesn’t root them.
Neither do Warrior level damage.
Elementalists in DPS gear don’t tank damage at all and they don’t do warrior level damage. Mesmers don’t either. These classes have more survivability because all of their utility skill slots are defensive in nature. Compare this to the Warrior and all of theirs are tools to do more damage or get you into combat.
If the Warrior has failings, it’s that too much emphasis is put on dealing damage and there aren’t enough skills to give the warrior survivability and escape options. they could either improve weapon skills to provide more utility or change some of the skills to give more defensive options.
Change Earthshaker from a stun to a damage debuff + snare.
Change Arcing Slice to give a 50% chance to parry incoming damage for 2/4/6 seconds.
Change Bulls Charge to 1200 range and if you knock a target down you demoralizing shout causing AE damage reduction.
Make all stances clear conditions when activated.
Change Stomp to a 900 yard leap.
It just always comes down to mobility, condition removal, and damage mitigation. It’s like the Warrior class was designed before these mechanics were really fleshed out and the class missed out on a revision that made sure it had sufficient tools to succeed at anything but dealing damage.
Warrior is not a “pve class”.
And we’ve been asking to fix Rush/Bull, range on some skills, also Brawn… Anet simply does not seem to read/answer us sadly.
I get it that there are other classes that need more love (necro, engi, ranger), but we’re definitely in need of fixes too. Code fixes not buffs/nerfs things.

im not sure about mesmer #2 skill switching directions, But i thought it does LOLZ

ok maybe im just exaggerating, but i dont think any other class can output more dmg than warrior in pve. if warrior decides to go glass. and i agree with u that warrior needs fix. But these things that i have listed were definitely not buffs/nerfs to the warriors.

Warrior is not a “pve class”.
At the moment, that is all the Warrior has to his name, and to be honest Warriors are awesome at it.
In sPvP or tPvP you will get your face kicked in by anyone that is decent and plays a Engineer/Necromancer/Thief/Guardian/Ranger/Mesmer. Warriors have the damage to contend, like the some have said in this thread, but their defensive side is so lacking that you will never be able to stand without someone else holding you up and pushing you forward in PvP.
In PvE, it doesn’t honestly matter because it is so easy. The Warrior is highly viable on targets that do not move much and that is what all the mobs do in PvE. Mobs will literally sit and face tank a One Hundred Blades….
As a fellow forum poster once wrote, “Playing a Warrior in PvP is like wearing flippers to a track race”.
