omg another annoying cc warrior
Bunker Triple Sword Team Support Build:
Strength: 0
Arms: 10 III
Defense: 30 I VIII XII
Tactics: 30 I IX XII
Discipline: 0Weapon: Sword/Sword | Sword/War-horn
Utility skill: For Great Justics/Shack it off/On my Mark/Signet of Rage or Battle Standard.
Healing Skill: Mending.
Weapon Sigil: Energy/Corruption, or Geomancy/Corruption.
Armor Runes: Soldier Runes.
Amulet: Shaman’s Amulet with Shaman’s Jewel
You will have 3500 armor. 23,022 HP.
I used to run dual swords in the early days of PvP and found it immensely fun. For some reason, call it pressure from the pvp forums who often suggested swords were useless, I moved away from it. Today I struggled in PvP with my usual builds and I decided to go back to the dual swords – it was a build very similar to yours, but I hadn’t thought to try Shaman’s amulet with it. As soon as I made that switch, I was rolling.
Then again, I always loved the feel of the sword, I know some don’t. This build is definitely worth a try for anyone suffering through the weaknesses of the Warrior recently. It’s a palate cleanser, that’s for sure, and remarkably effective.

I’m glad you like it. Well, this build really bunk if you control it well, and you can still kill ppl with it. Good job, and I’m enjoy to see people discuss warrior stuff with me!
Let’s work harder together!!
(edited by Anastasis.7258)
Nice to see ppl actually trying out stuff, especially on the warrior!
It’s IMHO the least understood class in the game, because the traits and skills etc. are pretty interesting and there could be some very good builds if ppl just tried different specs and team-setups.
Here are some of my Builds I’ve been trying out recently:
Double Longbow all the way!
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-so-o;1RKkN0_47L-60;9;5T-9T;124A;13;035AU-F4;24JV05JG47VS
What does the Build do?
AoE Condition-DMG beyond Believe, great to fight on small Nodes where you can spam from a safe Place.
Why double Longbow?
Because of the two hits of the Autoattack and the Range, the longbow is probably the weapon that benefits most from Furious, Rending Strikes and the Earth-Rune. Also, the Longbow F1 is hilariously good. It’s also not a very tanky build, so staying on range is much safer. I still wanted to have the adrenalin boost from versatile Rage though and there I just didn’t get enough Adrenalin and DPS out of other Weapon Sets and couldn’t use the F1-Skills properly when I went for “Adrenal Reserves” (Rifle being the only other Ranged Weapon, but the F1 is horrible, especially in condition-builds). So I said: kitten it and went for Double Longbow and Quick Burst, which allows me to get off a Longbow F1 every 8 Seconds, when I switch Weapons right after the F1 and once in between the F1’s and can fire off Shots to gain Adrenalin.
I also choose to go with 1 Rune of Energy over another Earth, because with Fast Hands, you’ll get the most out of it even if you use only 1 “On-Weapon-Swap Rune”, because of the 10s internal CD and even though Earth rune works good with this spec, the most DPS comes from the F1, by Far!
There are a lot of variations to the build: You can run it more defensively, with Rabid Amu and Soldier-Runes, go for sth. other than shouts (stances + vigorous Focus instead of Inspiring Shouts) or of course go for another Second Weapon-Set and Adrenal Reserves, for a bit mroe versatility.
Condition/Immobilize Build
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-s70F-0-RKkN0_47L-60;9;5T-JJ;124A;108-39-K-F4U;1ZF18ZF182ZH
What does the Build do?
A lot of Bleeding and very reliable and Powerful CC.
I wanted to make a Build that was able to land the Sword F1 reliably, so I came up with the Combo of Rifle 2 (with Leg Specialist), into Sword F1. The build also has good Team-Support with the Warhorn and Shouts and is decently Tanky against both Physical and Condition-based DMG.
Ugh, these builds are just awful. They fall flat in comparison to any range class. Sorry, not today.

Mine?
Well, firstly, thanks for not being to forward and caring about my feelings.
Secondly: You’re dead wrong. ^^’
Nothing comes even close to the Condition-AoE of the first build and even if the second build’s DMG isn’t extremely high, the amount of Immobilize you put out, the Shouts and the Warhorn (and you can easily run a Softrez with it) will make your Team loooove you.

The double longbow build? Yeah……. I’m not only sure its a horrible build, I’m 100% positive.
As far as point-nuking goes, there are other better builds on most other professions(staff ele or necro for example)
—————————————-
Btw: Your condition AoE is fire, meaning it doesn’t stack damage but duration.
Low tick damage, gonna take you an awfully long while.
(edited by Empiren.6401)
The reason why I share my build is because many people whisper me to ask my build after they watched a nerco’s stream, so I decide to share my build to everyone who struggling on warrior. Well… I’m struggling too xD…
The triple sword actually works pretty well… but hard to control.
I appreciated those two warriors to share you build with everyone, let’s keep working!
Regards.

Are you serious right now? Do you really think I don’t know how the Conditions work in this game?….
Besides the build dealing AoE-Burning every 8 Seconds for up to 14 Seconds with max ticks and +40% Burning Duration in total, which equals about 8k in AoE-Condition-DMG, the build is also very resistent against Condition-Removal, because the ticks that apply burning are so frequent.
I don’t know how good your are and if it’s even remotely adequate to discuss with you, but if you take this game seriously, I’d highly encourage you to test out as many builds as possible. At least you could do it if you plan on commenting on the build that vehemently.

Yo guys, everyone have different opinion, so it’s okay for someone to make a correction of your build, which means you can improve. Try to stay on the topic and enjoy the build.

Something you’ll find out, duration past a certain point doesn’t mean anything. Unless the people you are playing have absolutely no condition removal or heals, then yes, your entire build is bad.
—————————————-
Now just to point this out because you seem to not get the damage part. 500 damage per second.(think how long that will take)
Which is less than 5 stacks of bleeds and extremely easy to tank.. Also, you are relying on longbow only cooldowns. Anyone can just run up to you and you lose by default because the longbow is meant for support.
——
Also, 1 remove condition deletes all your duration stacks. Duration stacking damage is meant for bleeds/confusion so that you can get higher amounts of stacks and therefore do more per tick. You should have gone condition damage and btw, its still an awful build because the only thing you’ll do decent is aoe nuking and that can STILL be done on other classes better.
Only build on compeitive teams I saw since the patch is longbow, sword /sword with banners at the moment.

rofl – are you being serious? I actually just made a warrior build 3 days back that uses undead runes/rabid amulet with longbow and sword/sword. Was running 0/30/20/20/0 build with power/condition banner stamina signet and balanced stance.
My condition dmg was around 1600 with over 2k toughness and your banner is useful for swiftness and one rush on it. Was trying it in tpvp and actually killed some guardians/engies with it… but it struggles against classes that get up in your face like the ele d/d.
I thought it could be somewhat viable… but it is sad how much harder you have to try on this toon compared to others to achieve any results.
A link to the build: http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAT8cjgOtvBPyQMxBCkCrklzjkQFynUEGzA;TwAAzCpoay0koJbTumkNt6YswuiZEA
the key for me was setting up the longbow burst skill. once it is full adrenal… use pin down and fire the longbow burst on the immob target. from there i switch to sword/sword which has poison up on switch. leap to target and immediately hit with impale.
the conditions can nuke a target but the setup is bulky/cumbersome to get going.

I said on competitive teams, with VOIP. No point to play warrior in soloQue, because you need ppl who can carry you.

I agree, was laughing because I thought I had invented something crazy ridiculous and completely unheard of and then read your post and it was literally the same weapon set build. Just funny.
very nice builds!
here is a build I’ve always been running on my warrior since I’ve started playing him
TITAN BUILD
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-s7ws;1RKFP0g4wK-60;9;4J9-JJ49-3;306-52-RJk6;2sV2DsV2D8Bp
soldiers amulet if you want more defense
but mainly knights with bezerk jewel for the crit and extra damage.
this is a cc build like the others above that is more focused on mobility and condi removal but you still cant solo with this build its an op group fight build so go out of your way to assist and find group fights.
^ thanks for the share. Right now warriors are waiting for the next patch, but I don’t really feel they are doing anything for warriors.
hai Ana, thanks for sharing your build! some of my warrior friends tried it, they said its pretty awesome keep it up!
Hello everyone, the new patch is coming and I will continue to share my new build after the new patch day 4/30/2013. So keep the eye on it, make sure you don’t miss my warrior spirit!!
I love the enthusiasm
New HGH warrior build added 4/29/2013. enjoy guys.
Had a similar idea posted on here 2 weeks ago. Different approach to HGH warrior. 20/10/10/0/30 something like that. mace shield longbow.
I think you can benefit from burst mastery more that double adren on hit.

The reason why Longbow is so important is because of Building Momentum. with energy sigil and longbow F1, you get a lot of dodges. Thats the way to keep yourself stay alive longer. Also the might stacking get more effect on condi damage, so the longbow burning become an important dps as well. The great sword also important because of its mobility, and the GS #3 also count as a dodge. To combine everything together, you can dodge more than other ppl do, and that’s how hard to play well on a longbow warrior.
I run a dps guard and I can tell you I will burn you faster than you can burn me down.. Not even using retal guardians put out some nice dps. I went up against some warriors in TPvP running your longbow setup and found them lacking. They may be new with the build but we will have to see on the 30th how the patch goes. Necros get a lot of love, guards get a boost to dps i hear, the new 3% dam for every boon active for guards will be nice for those bunker guards they go up against. We will have to see how it pans out. I like the fact you share your build with us but you really can’t test it till well after patch. GL till then.

Just started War a week or so ago myself and have been running 0/30/0/10/30 condition build that I really enjoy. I was using the 10/30/0/0/30 build from fives months ago but decided to alter it a little bit to my own playstyle and to practice for WvW.
In sPvP I use the sword/axe + Longbow combo (mostly using LB) but I’ll probably use Rifle + Longbow in wvw. It’s pretty effective at 1v1 and team fights (especially team fights). I’m just not used to all the buttons/combos yet so I’m not good at all yet. But I don’t lost a lot of 1v1’s. Mostly just against thieves and bunker builds.

So much dodge, but you not able to do damage while dodging. Ultimately my version has less mobility. I went with the might stacking while blocking. Blocking prevents almost as much damage as dodging but with the added effect of reflecting projectiles. I agree the main damage is the longbow and same for mine.
That is the reason for my decisions, but I will have to try your variant.
New build release 4/30/2013.
According to the several changes on warrior, I have make a new viable build for Long Bow warriors.
Enjoy.
Changed Boon hate trait to Burst Mastery.
The signet build might not be work because we will not have stun break. If Anet change Dolyak Signet into stun breaker that might help. I’m still testing some other weapons on my AMC warrior build, which is really fun, and maybe I can find some way to improve my triple sword build idk.
Currently, Longbow/Greatsword on my AMC warrior build is OP in team-fight. No one can drop aoe dps more than us.

Then they would need to make it instant cast for Dolyak Signet to be a stun breaker.
Updated 5/12/2013. Added my best build.
Currently can 1v1 most profession. (Shatter Memser, BM Ranger, HGH Engi, Triple Cantrip Eles).
Again, it is different when against Long Bow Warrior with/without standing on the point. (10x stronger when fighting on the point, and most people do standing on the point when fighting in Tournament.)
Build Link and my opinion on warriors updated. 5/20/2013.
Enjoy the new things warriors.

I’m sorry to tell you, AOE dmg is not a tPvP role (but its good for PVE dungeon).
For any role in tPvP there is better profession to take.

good luck.
GS/LB is a fantastic weapon base.
My biggest issue for the build is BM ranger. I cannot seem to deliver enough dps to get through the regen against a smart ranger Bull’s charge usually fails due to shared anguish trait, and LB#5→100b is mitigated by switching to melee and spamming evades. On point LB will deliver some decent damage, but not enough.
I tend to be much more successful vs. ranger with axe/shield instead of LB. You have an extra stun to proc shared anguish, and eviscerate damage adds good dps. Any thoughts on doing better with longbow?

To be honest, Longbow isn’t the weapon for 1v1 if you compare to axe shield, I beat BM rangers only on the point, as you can see most BM ranger stay on the point, so that’s a no problem situation for me. Only thing u need to do is when you see the ranger switch out from the sword weapon set, you can immobilize them immediately. You have to pop your bull’s charge first to bait their stun break at beginning of the fight, so you will have 2nd chance to burst them with bull’s charge while you are still alive.

Shield: the 3 second invuln that also gives your opponents 3 seconds of not taking damage. Also gets canceled by Necromancer’s warhorn and fear mark when traited, Guardian’s wall and sanctuary, Elementalist’s tornado, trebuchet hits. Also conditions can still be mass-applied on the warrior while shielding.
Warhorn: 100% up-time on swiftness, converts 2 conditions into boons for yourself and teammates in an AoE on low cooldown , movement impairment full cleanse, almost perma-vigor, blast finisher, AoE boons for the team.
(edited by zone.1073)
I’ve seen some really great warriors. Much much better than myself. I accept I’m an average pvp player. Several guildmates (Nihilo, Argis, Hua…name dropping yes I am) are VERY good too. I spectate them and some others I see around and they do really well.
But still, I think as a personal opinion that it demands a LOT of people playing warriors in this game, much moreso than some other classes. I feel much more survivable with a 2000 armor condi spec’d engi than I do with a 3100 armor shout condition cleansing warrior for instance. I think the skillcap for warrior is simply higher. But anet keep buffing damage. I don’t need more damage lol! I need some survivability and sustain. But I do love the new burst mastery and dogged march.
That said, I’ll give your suggestions a try OP, especially the sword-sword / sword-warhorn bleed tank one, since I’ve never tried it.

I hear you zone, but that shatter damage prevention when whirlwind on cooldown and free eviscerates. Honestly, it is probably better, like ele offhand dagger versus focus. But I just have to play with it. Warhorn conversion trait, now that is another story; I do not think I can go that far yet.
I definitely think my build is the best axe shield GS build… Could just be my play style I like all melee and I don’t have a hard time with most classes when it gets to 8v8 aoe I gotta peel off a lot , but that’s what makes a good player leaving combat when you know you need to
Here it is 30/0/0/10/30
Trait that gives %dmg with adrenaline, axe mastery , berserkers might
Empowered – trait that gives dmg per boon
Signet mastery sweet vengeance and burst mastery is great for 1v1 destruction of em is better for team
Bulls charge frenzy balanced stance
With Lyssa runes every 48 seconds you can remove all condis and all those boons increase dmg 2% per boon also the stability and aegis give u the time to hit your target with a frenzy bulls charge hundred blades switch axe shield bash eviscerate back to GS rush whirl – most glass will be dead before your frenzy even ends so stability stomp then BTFO if there’s more then 1 enemy on you
Also strongly suggest frenzy then bulls charge so the charge is super quick
Enjoy , cause I know I do
Is a extra 2% to crit damage really worth losing power over? I’d like to see some maths on that.
