Warrior PvE Builds Lvl 80 End-Game
I run this build and as I’ve stated in the thread itself I find it the most fun and forgiving build for my playstyle :

I just started using the “Sonic Boon” GS build and so far I love it!

Here is what I’ve settled on after a lot of different builds. Any of the 3 heals work, use your favorite or jump around between them depending what your fighting and the blank utility I switch between Frenzy, Endure Pain, Balance Stance, or Shake it Off.
The gear started off as Full Knight (Toughness/Power/Precision) but I added in Berserker (Power/Precision/Critical Damage) every now and then for more damage and now I only have Knight Helmet, Legs, Chest, and GS everything else is Berserker.
I use Omnomberry Pie, Superior Sharpening Stone and Scale Venom(On Bosses) as my consumables.
If for some reason I decided I didn’t like Lyssa Runes I would switch in Ruby Orbs and change the build to:

You two run the same exact build except the choices in equipment.
For equipment, I definitely would say berserker all as you get used to playing.
Questions for you two:
1. Do you guys use the GS burst skill? I have found a few people arguing that if you go with a build that traits Berserker’s Power and Heightened Focus, then you should not use burst unless you have multiple sources of fast adrenaline regen (not just fast attacking).
2. How do you guys fare in end-game content? Not trash mobs, but hard dungeons, fractal high levels, etc. What about in low level when helping? Solo roaming (tanking a group and killing them, etc.)?
3. What is your general playstyle? Do you guys initiate with longbow skills or charge right in and use LB only for boss fights (combo field w/ F1 and such). Why not Rifle over LB?
Oh, and why not 5 more points into Arms to get 10% To bleeding foes?
Also, how much crit % can you SUSTAIN indefinitely? (Food included)
^Realistically speaking w/ food.

1. When I use GS/Rifle I never use burst skills other then maybe a rare kill shot for laughs. If you throw in Bow instead of Rifle then I use the Bow Burst followed with #3 and #4 and/or #2 then switch back to GS(5 Sec Weapon Swap build)
2. I’m only up to Fractal lvl 29 but as long as I have enough Agony Resist I’ve had no problems with any fights in there, with 5 sec weapon swap and GS/Rifle I just bounce out every now and then for a rifle #3 and a couple #1’s to heal up/wait for cool-downs.
3. I use GS for 80% of the fight on all Fractal Bosses other then the Dredge Final boss which the whole group kites around. Most the time if I die its just because I messed up and got hit by a big move even though I had enough endurance to dodge roll or GS #3 off cd.
Oh. My build has 25 Arms.
Also. 3,283 Attack not counting Might stacks or Bloodlust stacks. 61% Crit Chance with food plus I’m at 81% because of Fury for 46 out of every 48 secs. 71% Crit Damage. 2,365 Armor and 19,672 HP.
Then with traits I get 12% more damage with full adrenaline, 10% more damage when using GS, 10% more damage if my target has Bleed on, and 1.5%(?) more damage for each active boon I have one.

Can you show me where my build is exactly the same as both Rez’s?
There are major differences between our builds and saying they are exactly the same is like saying my bike is as fast as my neighbour’s car. No sense in that
1.GS burst skill is kitten. Longbow burst skill is awsome. As I’ve said there are plenty of ways to get your adrenal back quickly. If not by hitting things then by using your healing skill.
2.I’m missing 3 explorable dungeons (3 paths, not 3 dungeons)for my “Dungeon Master” title and that’s only because I’m waiting to do them with my guildies. I’m lvl 34 in fractals, doing lvl 38 dailys with no problems. When I say trash mobs I mean mobs in dungeons before you get to the bosses. I don’t understand what u mean by low lvls when helping. If it’s working great in end game content there is no reason why it shouldn’t work even better in low lvls.
No problems with tanking/engaging multiple enemies. Solo gameplay is also super fun.
3. I’ve already wrote how to start playing when using my build. Read it again if you’re not sure…
Rifle has no combo field. Don’t get me wrong, it is good for single target dps but I prefer longbow. More aoe = more mobs hit = more stacks of precision.
4. I already explained my version of why not the extra 5 points for 10% dmg on bleeding foes.
Crit chance between 67% and 80%, depends on how much stacks of precision you have and on the group you’re in.

I’ve also been running this exact build for a while now. Also mixing Knight’s/Zerk +Lyssa. GS with Fire Sigil.
I have dual axes as offhand for fast Bloodlust stacks, Omnom-healing (Whirling Axes), Axe-cyclone, chop and Eviscerate are also nice. Switch to rifle situationally.
Mending – FGJ / SoS / Balanced Stance – SoR

For Ruby Orbs I’d probably switch to 20/30/0/0/20

Ya same here, 2 axes for Bloodlust and use them for trash and put in rifle for bosses.
20/30/0/0/20 would be a good build for Ruby Orbs for sure, or 20/25/15/0/10 with all the adrenaline traits.
Sorry about that, linked the wrong 2 builds hahaha
Also, I’m looking at the Sonic Boom build… seeing a few flaws, will post about it in a couple minutes.
I just started using the “Sonic Boon” GS build and so far I love it!

So, how do you handle the ascended gear issue? (This build relies heavily on runes which ascended cannot use)
<snip> …or20/25/15/0/10 with all the adrenaline traits.
Interesting. Are you thinking something like this?:
Strength 20 (V, IX)
Arms 25 (V, X)
Defense 15 (I)
Tactics 0
Discipline 10 (II)

Yeah but Discipline (V) and never use burst abilities so you always have max Adrenaline. Also Defense VI if your group uses Scale Venom for 100% weakness on bosses.

I was about to say use VI for bosses xD
Also, I think defense V is a complete waste. You’re not using any bursts at all. Starting range and going in melee should easily fill up your bar. Once the fight lasts 5 seconds, that trait becomes useless lol
For this particular build, I find Defense II to be far more effective. Conditions galore in dungeons, and the buff is awesome before the guardian/other class turns them into boons
I’ve been trying this build out, and I won’t lie, I like it a lot. I also love how it is 300+ hp regen per second which outstrips healing surge in terms of healing per second.
20/25/15/0/10 w/ full berserker (knight mixed in if necessary) and ruby sounds nice.
I’m making my second warrior atm (I’m a warrior guy all the way… although Mesmer shattcat for PvP Lul…)
Bought full knight and berserker, so I’ll try to find a balance for this build.
What runes for weapon / armor and why do you prefer? Still calculating runes I Guess.

Wow, so many GS builds…
FWIW here is my daily driver.
Its a sword/sword + rifle build.
knights gear / coral orbs / carrion accessories / rampager weapons
I really enjoy playing it and it has served me well. Can keep up fury and might for a large percentage of the time so u r constantly at around 75% to crit without any consumable. Superior sigil of earth on sword 1 with precise strikes gives over 90% chance to bleed on crits. I hit double digit bleeds normally by the end of my opening rotation. (4,2,3,4,1,1,1) Its not perfect but it has been very effective for me and i will continue to use and improve on it.
Any comments/criticism would be very welcome.
Also, i am sure that someone is going to mention the whole “but you’re waisting your time applying bleeds in group because someone else will already be keeping a full stack of 25” but i have never run into a problem w that. ive ran dungies with a diverse range of professions including necros and have not run into the problem where we have been stepping on each others toes as far as bleeds are concerned.
EDIT: link not working

I respecced to this build last night. I’ve been running some dungeons and DE’s with it, and for an inexpensive build, it’s pretty sweet. Ruby orbs are cheap, so for a new 80 warrior, this is a good way to go.
Here is a link to look at the build in more detail. Use heal on crit food and Ruby Orbs in gear. All your gear/trinkets/weapons should be Berserker or Knights.

Well, it’s pretty easy to handle since there is no Ascended gear out yet that you can put runes in. It’s all Accessories, not armor.
What are these other flaws that you mentioned, dare I ask?

Yea, it seems that the Sonic Boon build relies heavily on every single rune used, but that becomes an issue with ascended accessories, or so I have heard. The author of the Sonic Boon build completely ignored this three times throughout the thread, so I’m assuming he has no answer for it.

I don’t any mention in the quoted text.

Sonic Boon uses 6 specific armour runes that are crucial to the build. Accessories, ascended or otherwise, don’t impact that. I guess the author got bored of telling you this when its made very clear on the very good post here

9 days ago man, come on now.
Also, Sonic Boon is ineffective high level fractals.
It’s far more effective for individual members to invest slightly more in toughness than for one person to invest heavily into small burst heals.
It’s a great build to learn and play with early on, but yea… I much prefer a banner warrior on my team.

Ahh sorry but found the thread through google – would hate your error to have been preserved uncorrected for future searchers like me !
