Can we have a damage buff for warrior?
The only reason why elitists bring 1 warrior is to summon banners.
How about 8 hits on HB have a coefficient of 6 the final hit stay the same.
Should make us more viable and fun in pve.
Note PVE buff not pvp so its seperate.
I get kicked from groups if they already have a warrior in favor of a ele or a theif
which also do everything else better except for facetanking.
Warrior is useless in its current state.

I think war is good as it is now, hes fun for me again after trait changes. To be honest i never got kicked for being a warrior xd for me only necro is useless

No this is a legit complaint.
This is a thing now where they kick you if they already have a Warrior.
Warrior dps is garbage. I can live with worst utility but atleast give us a reason to exist.
I just want to play the class i enjoy.

so because the warrior has lower dps than an ele and a thief ,warrior dps of course has to be garbage?
What about guard,ranger,engi,nec? How many guards do you invite in your group if you already have one guard? how many rangers do you invite if you already have one ranger? How many engis / necs do you see regularry in parties?

So, Phalanx Strength, HEALING Banners / Banners & Shouts, Empowered Allies and an Auto-Cast Condition Cleanse (Shrug it off) is “worst utility”.

Naturally we’re not as good as the Guardian or Elementalist, but c’mon…we’re FAR from “worst”.

Yes. I’m now doing almost 30k HB, and 7-12k Whirlwinds now. On top of maintaining at-least 12 stacks of might and 100% permanent fury. The Elite Spec is going to determine if the Warrior remains my main or if I switch to the Thief.

Even if it isn’t a troll thread, it should be recognized that there will always be a “best” party comp to clear a dungeon in the shortest amount of time, and that “elitists” will always kick people not getting them closer to that ideal comp.

In other words, no amount of buffs to the warrior will guarantee inclusion in those parties without simultaneously ensuring the exclusion of other classes. It’s a zero sum game.

It kinda amazes me how little people care about the overall health and balance of the game, and more about simply making whatever they play as strong as possible.

While I don’t support the pve buff the OP is asking for, you’re the second person who’s made a comment in the warrior forum recently that basically says, “no buffs for you because ranger is worse”.

Just wanted to say that a buff to warriors has to stand on its own merits and in no way interferes with the buffs that may need to be made to other classes. If rangers need buffs in a bunch of areas, then they should be buffed regardless of anything that happens to warriors. Same goes for other classes.

That being said, if you’re having trouble with rangers, a guy I run with has had tonnes of success running a really durable condi ranger lately, and has even predicted it’ll become the meta. He handily beat the stance warrior I threw at him and beat the shoutbow I threw at him too (it was a longer fight for sure, but he still won). We didn’t have time for me to test other warrior builds against him, but he said he’s been having very good success in wvw roaming/havoc as well. I beat him with a condi mesmer fairly easily though.

I don’t have his build details, I’m afraid, and I don’t play a ranger so probably couldn’t recreate it (I know he had a MH sword for defensive purposes). But know there’s at least one very good ranger build out there that doesn’t require you to play pew pew while standing on a ledge.

Also, iirc, there used to be a very good a+d/sb condi build for rangers… not sure if it still works or not, but it was favoured to beat most warrior builds, except maybe pre-patch shoutbow. So rangers haven’t exactly been in the dumpster.

I think (hope) Quark was making an historical reference to the pre-CDI state of the Ranger, which was rather bleak. Condi Ranger was awesome before the recent patch, and got a net buff with the patch (but not to Mesmer levels). SB/A&T, SB/A&D, and A&D/S&T w/ NM, WS, BM trait lines are all viable and fun.

I was taking a stab at his, “nerfed back into oblivion” quote, implying that warriors were once in a bad spot (in PvE).

Wait wut … My warrior can do up to 35k with one HB now, over 10k with the GS burst skill (which is still meh, only really use it for the 20% damage buff) and with 100% fury uptime and signet mastery go over 90% crit with GS (over 100% when holding a sword) so 25 stacks of might are also close to 100% uptime … and warrior DPS is considered bad ??? What insane DPS the other professions must have.

Only poorly played Warriors have poor DPS.

I’m not the OP but one of the “PvE warriors” mentioned in the quoted post.

Well aren’t you an entitled little snowflake.

Watch any after patch videos and you’ll see 56k/57k is a pretty common fully buffed HB (vs. average toughness mobs/bosses) and even higher as a greedy double sig second Warrior.

Nike posted this not long after the patch, unrealistic numbers for regular runs but even comparing back to the iconic multi Warrior meta comp days the numbers are significantly higher, even with only one Frost Spirit.

Anyway, the real point is that other classes offer far more than a second Warrior does, Engi/Ranger or even a Second Guard/Mesmer would likely achieve better results respectively. Making Warrior DPS higher than Ele/Thief/Engi would just send us back to a boring and lifeless Meta that nobody really misses.

This turned out as expected i will reroll ele now.
