Warrior Sword Flurry is disappointing.
Just wondering, what level are you? When I use it I deal hits starting at about 100-200 up to 600-700 on final with crit (at level 72). Also by the end I have about 20 stacks of bleed by the end.(not all from flurry granted), but flurry still increased the bleed stacks I think by around10. It’s no HB but I don’t know how your only hitting a little over 100.

Are you reading the damage numbers correctly? For multi-hit attacks it adds up the total damage dealt by the attack, so that 700 at the end is the damage you’ve dealt up to that point in the flurry.
Also, the immobilize is the important part.
It’s more of a utility than a power attack. It applies lots of immobilises though so it’s hard to escape – you can’t just break one and flee because there’s already another by then.
with my current Build my bleeds last 15 seconds :x and my Flurry does decent damage im in love with my bleed stacking warrior and will not stop anytime soon ^^

15 seconds on Flurry bleed? seems legit…
@Topic: At level 3 Adrenaline, the skill does 12 stacks of bleeding over 3 seconds (with +50% bleed duration trait), which equals to 1440 dmg without condition damage already + the normal damage.
With 1000 Condition damage it’s already 3240 damage from the bleeds (armor ignoring + immobilize!)
I don’t think that this sounds weak.
The mass Immobilize is fun, if you catch people holding hands. There are better Burst skills though.

It’s pretty rubbish.
There are only two times ever you’ll want to use it.
1) Hit it then switch over to GS for hundred blades.
2) To peel off players from attacking anyone else, or holding them in place for other people to attack. Or to root them whilst you escape.
The damage is nothing. 3k (if they don’t clear the bleed?) , people do that from ranged in a few seconds all the time to me with standard abilities. kitten Steal hits for 3-5 k instantly traited.
Worst thing about it is it roots you at the same time. I actually find I end up taking more damage from the class i rooted than i do to them for the duration.
What is most annoying to me is the 2-4 seconds self root. I hate it so much. Damage is quite fine given you invest points in condition damage.

It’s great in PvE! Not all skills are flawless for pvp
@ Haette no I thought that it showed each hit, thank you for correcting that.
With 50% Condition Duration, 50% Bleed Duration, and 1300 Condition Damage, it’s not unreasonable to get 2 Precise Strikes procs and 2 Earth Sigil procs within the flurry. Yes I know about the Earth Sigil cooldown, that’s why it’s only 2. The damage is actually fantastic with a focus on condition damage.
x12 4s bleeds give you about 5000 damage, coupled with the x4 10s bleeds for an additional 4000 damage, and around 2000 damage in the build I’ve run on average. This utilizes the Carrion Amulet. That’s 11k, on top of a 6s Immobilize. It’s awful for a pure direct damage build, but when you have the right condition damage enhancers it can be downright devastating.
Can is the keyword though, as condition removal tends to destroy Flurry bursts.

The main problem I have with the ability is that it roots yourself. I often will immobilize the enemy and start hitting them with flurry only to have them use condition removal, escape from the immobilze, and im stuck there swinging at air while they hit me from range. I still like the ability but the self-root bugs me.

Just cancel the attack if they break the immob -_-.
Anyways the Immob is obv the most powerful aspect of the ability — low cooldown relatively strong Immob? Awesome. Bonus damage is bonus.
Best part is they can’t turn while doing it, so roll through them or something.
sword burst is awesome, if you are not bleed specced, then don’t use sword…
At least it’s better than Uppercut I guess.

Agreed.
Has anyone ever actually used uppercut? Ever?
The ability is called Arcing Slice, heh.
I’ve used it. My build is made to work with Fury and using Arcing Slice as a last resort is sometimes worth it. Generally though I gain my Fury via Signet of Rage and Opportunist. Other options include Dual Strike, For Great Justice! and Battle Standard. Arcing Slice comes after everything else but I could see myself using it quite a bit if I wanted to make a build without passive addrenaline bonuses instead.
Sometimes I misclick it, and I become a sad panda
Other than adding bleeds this burst is useless, at 80 with pure exotics I rarely hit over 1.7k with it lol. But hey at least it bleeds not like the great sword burst…
I started using zerk stance, sword 2 leap and then pop flurry for the immobile. Switch to gs and 100 blades on those low targets instead of bulls. And its been working a lot better since everyone assumes you are going to bulls them lol.
Yeah, use it as a root. the only time I finish the whole flurry is if my greatsword switch is still on CD(which happens alot in WvW chasing people down). Just switch and lay into them with a more powerful weapon.
