Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone had a rifle build for TPvP they wanted to share. I am looking for a sort of hybrid build that can be effective at assaulting the far point.

Hybird between what exactly? direct dmg/condi? survival/dmg? mobility/dmg?
What i can say for sure is that rifle, in its current state, doesn’t work well in pvp.
Since you want to assault far, your second weapon set should have mobility -
GS or sword/x.
Rifle tends to work far (faaar) better with direct damage, which favors the GS instead of sword but GS is pretty weak in spvp. F1 is useless compared to others, hb never hits an opponent with a working brain, #3 being good, #4 has a far too slow projectile that is sidestepped easily (and only works well with leg specialist anyway) and rush is still bugged (i.e. rarely ever connects).
That’s 3 out of 4 abilities pretty useless in pvp.

Sword works better in pvp but as a roamer you want high burst instead of low, steady condi damage, plus you are missing the LB that makes sword a viable choice as it provides additional burn, immob, blind and bleeds.

Bottom line: rifle/GS is probably the worst combination you could choose in pvp and rifle/sword/x doesn’t build enough pressure to open up far.
Maybe someone here can come up with something serviceable but please test it out in hotjoin first before potentially screwing over 4 others in a ranked game.

rifle is not viable, use longbow.

longbow is far better in any 1v1, 1vX, XvX , well any situation.

except when you want to trolol killshot or troll stealth thieves. official troll weapon lol

There you go. Obious playstyle: immob your enemy to connect with HB or KS.
Short temper because you’ll face mostly bunkers on far (and the strentgh line sucks).
Leg specc for immob on rifle #2 and GS #4.
Disc VIII as anti bunker and burst mastery for more KS pewpew.

Downside: your only means of defense is evasion through energy sigils and GS #3
and endure pain for emergencies. Lyssa signet against condis but HS should work well against the low damage of bunkers.

edit: don’t expect any miracles. rifle still isn’t viable.

The rifle may not be all that effective but it does grant a +10 to sex appeal.

Thanks for the input! I have never used rifle in pvp, but with the new patch I had access to my engineer’s col skin so I thought I would give it a shot (pun intended). I have run a sword/sword condi build for a long time and it seems like I should stick with it.
