Conditions builds – with -65% condition duration they can just kiss my a…

GC builds – As warrior I have way more dmg + way more survi than other classes so 1 block from shield + Axe burst is enough to deal with almost all GC builds

Bunker builds – no problem. With such high dps signet of might it’s really powerful weapon

I have very similar ideas, I was wondering the following about your build:

- Without additional 10pts into discipline you loose 5s weapon swapping and signet mastery. This means your signet of rage uptime is also only 50%, do you think that affects your game play?
- I personally like Last Stand a lot, but I was wondering if you tested running without it. If you can give up last stand, you can ditch furious and take slashing GS alongside Building Momentum. Building Momentum helps a lot to recover additional dodges as you are not running signet of stamina. Slashing GS is a huge DPS increase for the GS with both additional power and 10% damage multiplier.
- Have you played with boon hate? I’ve done some calculations on my build and I find that it usually pays off to have it when the target has 1 or more boon. I don’t spec into arms and I take signet of fury instead of might to compensate for that.

1) Sigils will not work with “fast hands” (9 sec cd on each sigil on swap), most of axe/shield/gs mobility /def skills got more than 10 sec cd (or around it like whirlwind ~8sec). Signet of rage… I can fight even without it, I just need to use shield stun just before my axe burst (50% more crit chance against stunned foes)

2) “Last stand” -> ye was running without it and i must say that fight is harder (against ppl that start fight with CC and full burst).

3) I tested few days build with “boon hate” but I didn’t saw difference in dps.

If you have ~2000 power and ~50% crit dmg, precision start to actually become better than power for you because it will give you more dmg overall (confirmed by Isaiah Cartwright)

great you post here man, i like your vids! i running last two months with 10/25/20/0/15 and i enjoy it like never. need to try your changes on equip, it sounds interesting have better survivability and almost same damage

Well in theory eviscerate cast is 3/4s so there should be 0.25s cusion but in pratice its not happening for me. I couldnt profit from 100% crit on burst. Even with both fingers on hotkeys. Dunno, mby im getting old…

Great video, I main necro and recently leveled a warrior for WvW, definitely learned something new as just yesterday I was level 50 with my warrior lol.

A bit off-topic now, hopefully someone can help me. Is there a soft cap for armor/toughness ? I mean with my necro I got 2.8k armor which is pretty much needed in organized guild WvW and large scale battles, but with my warrior I got 3.5k armor (mainly knights/cavalier gear). And I heard someone say that after 2.8k armor toughness is pointless/wasted stat ? That true or was he chatting kitten ? Should I turn some of that toughness into some offensive stats ?

I can’t live without Mobile Strike. In situations where I got chain CC by zergs, Mobile Strike saved me at least 65% of the time. Without Mobile Strike, I die almost 100% in those situations.

I can’t sacrifice the above defense trait for 30 Arms though I admit with Critical Strike gain Adrenaline, you can eviscerate every 10 seconds (9 secs CD) due to Adrenaline full in 10 seconds.

Try back your Conditions Nightmare version 1.0 when you can because that build rocks for my friend and me. Cheers.

1. With Melandru runes, Lemongrass Poultry Soup and Dogged March, you get a total of -98% on cripple/chill/immobilize, effectively making them non-existent.
2. Untrue. First off, Avlis runs GS most of the time, so we should consider Berserker’s Power at full adrenaline. With the setup that Avlis is running, he’s at 2164 Power, thus Berserker’s Power gives him 259 Power. If he spent 50 points to get the 25 trait in Defense, he’d be at 1,614 Toughness, thus the 5% bonus would yield 80 Power. However, to get that, he lost 50 Power and the 259 he gained from Berserker’s Power. So in total, he’d lost 229 Power.

The easiest way to think about toughness is that doubling your armor reduces incoming damage by 50%. So if you take 1000 damage with 1000 armor, at 2000 armor you will only take 500 damage. Why people say stacking it really high doesn’t work is because, sticking with the above example, doubling your armor again to 4000 you will take 250 damage. So the first 500 points of mitigation cost you 1000 armor to achieve. The next 250 points cost you 2000 armor to achieve.

TL;DR – The higher you stack, the less benefit you see/point of toughness

I know that Conditions Nightmare rocks but Nightmare build is better in my opinion ( I am always trying to do better build than previous one)

Hey Avlis, I’ve been watching all your videos as they come out, just wanted to thank you for all the great vids and great build ideas. Pretty sure your first nightmare vid is the reason the price for melandru runes went up so fast loll. Kinda random, but I was wondering if you would ever be down to do some duels in spvp?

Yup looks like a solid loadout. Personally I’d recommend grabbing leg specialist for an axe/gs build, but seems like you’re making it work well without it.

I know that Conditions Nightmare rocks but Nightmare build is better in my opinion ( I am always trying to do better build than previous one)

You may think Mobile Strike is useless due to -98% reduction on conditions, however all these are on paper. In those situations where you get outnumbered 1 to 5 or more and you need to get out alive. Mobile Strike saves you, not raw power. Of course that’s only my view. Everyone is entitled to their own view since one man may view an item as treasure whereas other may view it as worthless item.
