Ive recently crossed paths with many thiefs with their ability to stay in stealth during an entire fight. I would like to know how to come about taking these thiefs out. Im currently using an Axe and Shield /Rifle/GS build. Would you guys help me please on how to down thief’s with this ability to stay in stealth? I cant hit them, I cant touch them or anything. I know how to play my class when it comes pvping different types of professions but thiefs are a whole different story.

Also could people recommend a good trait build for WvW please! Thanks!

The ability to stay in stealth the whole fight is a bug, there is a rendering bug that makes characters not appear until a few seconds later. And since stealth vanish them, when the game tries to render them there again it takes it a few moments to do so. When this is fixed you will have a lot less problems.

I use a build with axe/axe and axe/shield, and i just swing like a nutter when they go into stealth. I know I’m hitting them if my 1 combo succeeds. Killed many thieves and mesmers with this build. Axe is just great for hitting someone in stealth because of the large range and angle of attack, something no other warrior weapon has. Not to mention eviscerate is a killer burst skill.

Retaliation trait does wonders.
And even though you cant see them you can hear them also u can predict when they need to hit you again with cd so you know when to move. but y in general its a pain.

LB f1 + axe/axe 5 skill also good.(burning bolts)

I’ve been getting my butt kicked until I started using a shield. Blocking their stealth attacks really kicks them outta their instawin groove.
I use a mace for the stuns and extra block and haven’t been killed by a thief since I started using it.
Usually they will try to run. Usually they make it out alive :-/
