Warrior at 50: Mid-Life Crisis
Honestly, I have 4 80’s and all of them will bore you when lvling. It’s so slow going it just can’t be helped. I would grind out to lvl 60 and then level 2 crafts and shoot to 80. Then start the new 80 gear grind. lol
Well, PvP will always be more interesting than PvE – especially against non-instanced trash mobs. When it comes to trash mobs, it’s what you make of it – I can walk up to every single trash mob and just face tank its hits as it will always die before I do – I simply have too much HP and attack for it to stand a chance. What you can do is play actively to make it interesting. Can you kill everything and never be touched? Can you solo that Champion? How many mobs can you take on at once?
Also note that your leveling process is a good time to experiment with weapons. Whether it is to keep the game fresh, or to learn from it, I find it important. Some weapons are great at mobility, some at CC, some at defense or conditions. Don’t rely on these forums to latch on whatever is the flavor of the month – people will say this or that weapon sucks/is OP/for noobs/for pros. That’s all crap – the point of a game is to have fun, and any meta gaming does not make you pro. Warrior is blessed as being one of the only classes that has no under powered weapons – just realize that each weapon has it’s own play style and role – so either play to fit the weapon, or pick a weapon that fits your play.
I don’t know if this is your first character or not, but honestly leveling is pretty boring in this game no matter what imo. I say this as someone with 5 80s who’s lowest level alt is a mid-30s ranger.
You could try doing dungeons, they give good exp/hr rates if you can finish them quickly and you get tokens to buy exotics, but there are some dungeons which are just beyond awful even when geared out at 80. I shudder at the idea of bringing someone who is both inexperienced and in blues into Twilight Arbor or Caudecus’s Manor.
WvW can be good exp too, if you’re winning. You’ll be fodder for most natural 80s with any semblance of skill unless you run with the zerg though. But that can still be more fun than running AC for the 10th time or beating your skull against some god forsaken zone that looks exactly like the last 3 you did.
Or, if you have the cash, you can just craft. This is what I’ve done for all my secondary and beyond characters. Screw putting up with chuckleheads who wipe on CoF path 1 or running half way across a zone for an event only to arrive just as it fails. With foreknowledge, patience, and buy orders you can get 30 levels for under 7g by maxing out Cooking, Jeweling, and Artificing. You won’t get karma, coin, or extra skill points but it is easily the fastest way.
Or if you don’t feel the need to play the end game to have fun just make an alt and go muck around with that until it gets boring and you make another one. There’s no need to push yourself to 80 if there is nothing there that grabs you.

MMO leveling is boring by default. However, GW2 has done it best out of all other MMO’s.
Hey, always good to know I’m not alone …. thanks!

Yeah those events are addicting lols and the no kill steal is a great thing as well. Pure team work in this game.
Your lvl 50 and bored?- try going to sparkfly fen, or mount maelstrom/fireheart rise.
Sure the game can start to feel stagnant at 50 with no new skills to unlock, But if Your bored try new things:
And simply yes it sounds like its pve your getting bored with – try some pvp/wvw human opponents provide variety
Dungeons can be fun (depending on group)
Or try a pve zone thats 5-10 lvls higher than you- that’s normally challenging
I would also suggest trying a different weapon. Part of what gets me bored is the repetitive 1 abilities. Sometimes for PvE, I’ll switch it up just to keep things interesting.
