Pretty sure Vanilla warrior isn’t what people are complaining about…
It’s funny that GhandiBot made this post two months ago https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/You-over-nerfed-warrior/first#post6592625 where he saw how nerfed Warrior became after the last balance patch.
Please do not defend a balance update that made running the Elite Spec Berserker entirely pointless in a competitive setting such as sPvP. Yes, Vanilla warrior was always there, and many people have had and continue to have great success with it. Berserker was an option that allowed a new style of play with great results. And now that is dead.
Vanilla warrior exists as it has always had, and continues to do so.
Please bring a more valid point to the discussion rather than one lucky instance of a bad matchup with noob players.
What ? you survived a bit vs 2 people without doing much vs them,bailed and killed a nec 1on1…Thats no 3on1 bud.

Randomly dodging around, spamming abilities off cooldown, randomly using defense cooldowns. The 1v2 is debatable, and not even a 1v3. Good job not dying against other bad players?

It’s a shame that berserker was gutted. I can understand the nerf to endure pain, but the adrenal healing nerf just killed any sustain. Plus it cheats you out of 2 bars as you need a full 3 to get into zerker mode but only get credit for one on healing. Add that to the fact that adrenal skills are incredibly slow and telegraphed and the build is basically dead.

It’s relatively solvable though, and Anet may well adjust once done playtime has passed.
I’ve proposed giving credit for a three bar burst upon entering Berserk mode (so a free and full AH and any other burst related traits). Others have proposed the first burst while in Berserk mode count as three stages.
Both of these would enable the change Anet wanted, create a reason to enter Berserk mode, but also deal with some of the excessively easy sustain that too many warriors crutch on.
Other changes could include undoing the previous changes to Headbutt, Arc Divider and Smash Brawler, and adjusting damage, cd, and/or range instead so that Berserker is more fluid but some of the OPness of those skills is still addressed.
They just did massive changes across the game. There’s always subsequent balancing after the dust settles.

A friend that played with me saw me win a couple 1v2/3’s in WvW and decided warrior must be op. I gave him my exact build and general combos and he was not having fun. Mentioned how clunky, easy to dodge, and slow it felt. Kept trying it for a couple days and switched off of it, mentioning he had a much larger appreciation for it.
If you are god awful at reading opponents, a good warrior will and should wreck you.
Anyone worth their salt has no issue making me work for every single CC way harder than the crazy gap closing teleports and disengage and mini tells other classes have.
Warrior has not been good in PvP at higher levels in a quite a while now, not with core, not with berserker…. and now Berserker is especially horrible.
I don’t know why ArenaNet would nerf something like this, because they didn’t properly explain. In my opinion, there really isn’t a good reason. Maybe Adrenal and Ire were over tuned, but to say they were 66% over tuned for berserker is kittening kittened.

Anyone worth their salt has no issue making me work for every single CC way harder than the crazy gap closing teleports and disengage and mini tells other classes have.
Very true and its one of the balancing factors for the class, a lot of peeps forget this. With good play you can beat Warriors, esp Beserkers. Lately I have been running into players who dont even dodge roll or make any attempt to mitigate damage. To that crowd we seem like nuclear charged greek gods, but we clearly are not. Just pay attention and react to the insanely easy to spot visual cues, lol.
This nerf was unjustified, and it should be reverted or adjusted.
