Warrior getting some love...
Seems that they have up a bit berserker this patch:
Warrior
Berserker—Dead or Alive: When activated, this trait no longer ends berserk mode.
Berserker—King of Fires: The burn duration increase modifier has been increased from 20% to 33%.
Berserker—Eternal Champion: In addition to its previous effects, this trait now also grants 3 stacks of might for 8 seconds when you break stun.
Berserker—Rupturing Smash: Added 0.5 seconds of daze to this skill. Increased immobilize duration from 1 second to 2 seconds.
Berserker—Fatal Frenzy: This trait now grants 6 seconds of fury in addition to its previous effects.
Berserker—Bloody Roar: This trait no longer grants fury or inflicts bleeding. This trait now increases all direct damage dealt in berserk mode by 10%.
Berserker—Always Angry: This trait has been reworked so that it now grants an effect for 15 seconds when entering or leaving berserk mode, increasing outgoing damage and condition damage by 7%.
Berserker—Outrage: This skill can now be used underwater and while airborne.
Berserker—Blood Reckoning: This skill can now be used underwater.
Berserker—Scorched Earth: Updated skill facts to show the correct number of hits.
hybrid is what this spec were meant to be.
warriors as class didnt get some love…the Elite spec did.

Well….yes and no..im glad that they buffed our Elites, but it is more and more " you have to spec into the elites to be able to compete in PvP
Well, that’s disappointing. No correction to the numerous nerfs or rebalancing of weapon skills with Revenant in play.

Yeah, disappointed as well. Changes don’t sound bad.. but I know we’ll still be shooting ourselves in the leg by choosing berserker over our other specs.

I’ve noticed that as well. It seems to be a lot of things for me at leas that contribute to this. Granted one or two elites, daredevil/druids, I’ve had a difficult time having close battles with other elite spces, repaer, chrono, dragonhunter. I don’t mean that I should be winning by a landslide I mean I have not had the chance to even have a close 20% health fight. I pride myself on being pretty versatile with builds and I’m all about the build wars, but with the elite I haven’t had much luck. In my experience it’s the lack of damage mitigation synergy outside disc/defends/strength metas. With the changes they’ve made it seems the mitigations warrior/berserker has will be kept with those trait lines. It seems like ANet is def pushing for hybrid, and in pvp it’s more prevelant vs wvw and pve. Also, weird how the elites weren’t supposed to be superior to the actual base profession via dps and viability etc. Will see what happens.
Well the power build warrior taking berzerker got huge buffs for DD. The extra burning duration and 7% condition damage is nice, but I don’t think it will ever be competitive with power, sadly.
I may turn out as a whiny kitten too. Yes, the changes are OK, but it’s not what I was looking for.
As I said some time ago, I wasn’t looking for warrior buffs, as much as some “practicality” changes. Call it quality of warrior life.
I was more looking for nerfs to other classes and specs. The powercreep in GW2 lately… is real.
They could buff Warrior all they want, it doesn’t solve the main problem i see with the game balance atm.
I main war (altho i have just as much spvp matches on mesmer and thief i consider war my main). I don’t want War OP, nor UP, I want the game to be balanced and I want this scary powercreep gone. Difference.

The thing is, nothing changed really. What’s the point of increasing our damage when with the amount of i frames, traps, invis, we still run with our pants down waiting to die.
Seems like with the increased damage, Zerker is just waiting to be paired with a dedicated support Druid in PvP.

Please, elaborate how? There might be a very VERY tight niche for stack and dps meta? I can’t see how this can be traduced to “big for pve”; it still sucks compared to core warrior.

Berserker is an undeniable DPS gain over Arms in properly organized groups for Dungeons and Fractals of the Mists. Why exactly do you need someone to elaborate on how +damage% modifiers work? There isn’t even any algebra or above involved here.

Thanks, for a second I thought you meant something else than a closed group inside a dungeon all running meta like I state before. So nothing else than a % increased damage during some time. Great job on an elite spec. Totally worth waiting for an expansion for it.
Strange that it’s basically a big PvE damage buff rather than fixing the actual issues people have with Berserker, but whatever.
Not trying to be a jerk but those are pretty lackluster changes, sure they’re mild improvements but they don’t address any of the fundamental issues with Berserkers.
How about something that actually makes going Berserk worthwhile? How about really balancing out the traitlines so Berserker synergizes with them? How about doing something about Rage skills (the vast majority of them at least) to make them something other than obsolete from the get-go physical skills? How about making Berserk less annoying to manage? How about doing something about blind spam counters in PvP?
I guess what I’m getting at is ArenaNet needs to acknowledge just how broken and worthless this elite spec is and actually put in the time to fix it, not just slap on a couple of bandaid “fixes” and hope that satisfies everyone.
