Shakasaur – 80 Warrior
Warrior in a dungeon.
Shakasaur – 80 Warrior
banners are useful (warbanner in particular; the ranged revive means you can revive people in dangerous situations that wouldve gotten you killed – a res the whole of your group in vengeance… go out martyr style)
shout healing (and shake it off group cleanse) can help someone whos healing is on CD
longbow blast finisher and fire field would help in combos
- i run dual swords, long bow, shake it off, for great justice, frenzy/endure pain and signet of rage/warbanner, which seems to work well

Thanks for the reply, I went and tried the sword and war horn, it was a pretty nice setup. It’s just odd switching from the GS.

He’s 35, giving 80 advice is pretty useless.
Bring shouts or banner or both instead of signets
@Yaki I’ll be 80 in a few days.
Thanks for the replys guys, If anyone has details as to why they bring certain things It’d be appreciated.

i always like to make a game out of out supporting the guardian in dungeons.
i use the shield and mace to face check and stun lock tough enemies. shouts like “shake it off” and “for great justice” to keep my party healthy and happy. when you hit lv40 get the trait skill that lets you use “shake it off” every 30 seconds when you get a condition. it doesn’t help you that much since it is kind of buggy, but in AC versus the spider it goes a long ways to make sure your team keeps the poison condition off
when you face bosses like the howler king try to make the team knows that you should be the one to stun him once his defiance goes away. up close and personal with the mace and shield you can make sure he never gets his howl off. and you have enough stuns to strip defiance off of him before he can ready his next howl.
(another reason for the mace. tough enemies always have weakness)
Thanks Fiorrello, Good tips for AC!

i like to run hammer/longbow hammer because you have 3 different control abilities which is extremely useful for normal dungeon mobs. plus you can trait into hammer giving an extra 30% dog boost which allows me to crit up to 4k with my attacks. Run Power toughness bit gear and whatever skills you want to use with my warrior i have 3407 armor 3100 attack 24k hp 47% crit chance

Well its pretty simple, warrior utilities basically fall under a few catagories:
Self-buffs: signets
Team buffs: shouts/banners
PvP designed skills: physical skills
Others: stances.
Signet build is fine obviously for solo play. In teamplay, you might as well bring team buffs, since well….. your team is gonna benefit from it more than just you running signets. Imagine if everyone went into a dungeon with a signet build; No one would be able to support each other and half the time you will be picking someone off the ground (this happens every time there’s a signet warrior in party already)
So for dungeon bring shouts and/or banners. You don’t even necessarily be traited into healing shouts or regen banners or anything like that.
For example: For great justice gives you AND your party 3 perma stacks of might (105 power at lvl 80 at all times), as well as fury (20% crit) for a good amount, whereas the signet counterpart gives you 90 power at all times (and 40 prec if you traited that way) Yet I see people STILL take signet of might instead of FGJ in signet builds at lvl 80. It literally makes no sense. If you have any sort of boon duration buff, you can maintain 6 stacks of might also
had a dungeon run yesterday with 4 warriors (incl. me) and 1 necro. went surprisingly well (numbers of signets on warriors: 4, 3, 2, 1). I’d say we played mediocre but funnily enough, having every banner around and 4 for great justice shouters really made a difference. I was often at 25 stacks of might (with gs and might-stacking trait) and we killed mobs really fast, nobody got downed excessively.
on the other hand a fotm run (lvl 1) took ages with mainly supporters/condi players as we just didn’t kill stuff and after everybody burnt his cooldowns, we got downed constantly.
so yeah, gs is an option, just have alternative weapon sets in your inventory and switch out if you go down a lot. it’s really no fun for your teammates if they have to pick you up all the time. I often have a bow for range and additional might-stacking equiped – though a rifle probably would do more damage.
conclusion: as long as you don’t go down, try to do as much damage as possible, the game currently seems only about big numbers, support etc don’t seem to be as effective.. in a group, take a few shouts/banners over skills which only benefit yourself.
So since your only lvl 35 i would wait until your lvl 40. So you can open up your second trait line but even then sense you ca t do shout heals i would do banner regen an stick with the great sword. Or if you have a problem with staying alive with the greatsword go axe shield for added block the axe actually scales best with power sword you need condition dmg and if theres a thief necro or ranger chances are your bleeds wont be on the target cause theirs is stronger. Since i cant look up the baner regen trait i duno if you can get it or not but once you hit 60 i would recommend shout heals its amazing support and survivability with axe main hand mace off hand or shield or hammer what ever you prefer

So i’ve been trying a bit of dungeons using things you all have suggested, and it’s a lot of fun! I’m running full shouts (FGJ, SIO, FM) with signet of rage. I never used the banners before, but i noticed every one of them has blast finishers so in a firefield that’s a lot of might + FGJ. Yeah being limited on my traits sucks for right now but i’m getting by. For my AC runs I’ve been using sword/warhorn with mace/shield switch. But trying to mix it up everytime.

more options will open up as you get more traits and better gear, since you like the shouts check out superior runes of the soldier when you hit 80

so for sword are you using condition dmg or does your gear have alot of power on it? you may want to flip in a axe instead prolly see a dmg increase
