Guild Wars 2

So which one? I really like that warriors have the ability to use bows, and I really like that there is a magic element to guardians. I would mainly have this character for wpvp and rp. So basically, which one is my best bet for wpvp?

I own both. I fight both constantly with one and the other. Personally I find warriors to be a lot more entertaining and if Anet fixes some of our mechanics we will become one of the best classes out there. In WvW my best and most entertaining fights were against Guardians. While using my warrior. My problem with guardians as it is, is that they are cheap. Their mechanics are made for an easy win and the large mayority of builds were reduced to a bunker build.

Warriors have a similar problem with healing shouts, but the problem isn’t as bad. Over all I say test both and see which one you like the most. Over all I find my guardian lacking when it comes to WvW, over all I feel bored quickly, but that is just me, others love the class and will tell you otherwise, this is why only you can forge an opinion.

All I can say is, warrior is great at everything this game got to offer. IF played correctly.

There is no best just play whichever one you enjoy.

to me it really comes down to aesthetics on many things.

i like how the warrior uses hand to hand weapons as well as guns and bows.

i dislike how the guardian uses staves and wands and has blue effects on everything.

i cannot speak for you personally, but i would pick the one you like playing the most. in the long term there are going to be many patches and changes and its pretty doubtful that any one class will be the top performer the entire time. its better to choose the one you like playing the most so you still have that aspect you are happy with.

Thematically, warrior is the best class in the game. In categories that matter more, guardian is currently a better and more well-rounded class than warrior.

But warrior is still better.

I probably should have gone Guardian since I’m more of a defense/tank kind of player and Guardians are better at survival (at least for now), but I find active blocking/stunning with my mace/shield combo infinitely more fun than the passive regens and protection buffs of a guardian, plus their shield skills suck and I just love carrying a shield. (Guardians don’t even block with their shields.) I played a Guardian in the beta and I didn’t like them too much.

Warrior if you’re aggressive. Guard if you’re passive.
