Both are really good, play what you like more.

I’ve played both a lot, but I find both power necro and reaper to be more versatile than warrior for general solo play PvE. Both chew through trash mobs equally well, but I see a significant difference when facing harder mobs, especially elites or champs. The necro is much more forgiving in those battles, and the 2nd health bar also helps a lot.

Solo PVE both are great.
I prefer necro.
- mass non- Melee-Aoe and CC
- minions
- many AoE-CC on Nec is for free and not like Warrior on lowDPS Weapon
- adrenalin goes away without fighting, lifeforce stays
- better range- weapons
Necro is more easy to play and forgive more, just because of minions/CC and his second Healthbar.

I’ve just played through HoT campaign and one map completion on each in the last couple of weeks. Necro was better at fights but warrior is OK. Warrior was a lot better at zipping past Chak to map complete tangled depths, or keeping up with HP runs.
I think you have to remember that warrior is a much stronger group buffer with banners, empower allies, and phalanx strength. But they need a group to buff if you’re to get full value.
If you’re just playing around solo for laughs, I find Necro more fun. But Warrior is going to with in straight DPS and in group settings because of the Tactics traits (Empower Allies/Phalanx Strength).
Necro honestly would be the safest profession for PVE solo. However warrior imo has more mobility and straight damage.
What do you mean with PvE solo? Just open world content?
If so, Minionmancer Necro is basically easymode. You could go through HoT with no armor or accessories equipped without any problem. But it’s also really, really boring.
If you’re talking about soloing dungeons, then Warrior would be the better choice.

Open world solo on warrior is fall asleep boring ;-(
