Guild Wars 2

I am trying to pick a class to main. Interested in all game mode.
I learned that both rev and warrior are in good spot in PvE.
So I am trying to pick a class by thier PvP status.
How are they. I heard condi warrior became new meta and very strong.
But I also heard Revenant is just OP.
How are they different from each other in terms of game play style?
I am talking about pvp solo que and WvW game mode.
I am relatively new to the game but have level 80 rev, necro, ele as well kitten thief.
I got it to narrow down to rev vs warrior.
Please help me choose.

My humble opinion

Warriors excel in team fighting , they can take a lot of punishment and also have strong AoE attacks

Revenants(power/shiro) are better suited for 1vs1 because their dmg splits between enemies thus becoming weaker especially when facing enemies with pets.

So you are trying to compare classes that have different roles. Warrior are for fighting mid while Revenants are for capping far

As for gameplay , Warriors are just faceroll whle Revenants have hard rotations between weapons and stances that need lot of practice to get used to.

I enjoy my Warrior a lot more, I feel more Tankier and I do not die as much.
I find on Rev that I am mostly Auto Attacking and just swapping between Shiro, Glint, or the Jarlis. Jarlis and Shiro I tend to only use one ability then switch to the other. Glint I may use 4 of the Auras.

Where on the Warrior I am using almost all my abilities all the time depending on situation and how many Signets I take in my build.

I played Revenant since HoT released until May this year and i main a warrior since gw2 released. I can tell you that in pvp i can kill any warrior and whatever warrior can do revenant can do better the only time i have to think is if the warrior is condition build but that was before this meta. On this meta using the warrior condi build i can easily kill revenant power/shiro build because of the class lack of condi removal. All in All i enjoy both class but revenant still have the upper hand unless you are spec to condi build warrior. I still main my warrior and never looked back.

In WvW, GS Axe/Sh stance warriors running Durability runes are probably one of the strongest meta builds going right now. They are almost unkillable and hit like a truck. They also work well in small scale, skirmish and large scale play.

Not many builds are “immune” from thieves but that one relatively is.
