Are there some advantages / disadvantages between the races for warrior?

Rsnge differents or something ?

Asura can have some cool variations to animations that one can argue would be hard to spot/dodge. Which I feel to be pretty true, other than that not really imo.

Eh. Personally you’d never notice the difference if you set your preferences to enemy players have standard models. I don’t know if most pvpers do this but I do.

I certainly do and wish it was available in Unranked. Asura warr is especially a pain to fight because they’re so small and their animations are barely noticeable (especially shield bash vs evis) sometimes you can dodge something you easily would’ve dodged if it was a human, charr, norn.

If you’re planning on using the Arms trait line, then the Charr racial skill Shrapnel Mine can help you keep Bloodlust up and going… obviously not very helpful in PvP/WvW due to condi cleanse… but can be useful in PvE.

It’s little niche stuff within certain builds like that which might influence what race you pick for your Warrior. Otherwise there’s really no mechanical reason… I don’t believe anything like the Asura Guardian’s symbol size discrepancy (which was fixed) exists for the Warrior.

Oh, and one reason I chose my warrior to be a Charr over other races is that it’s harder to loose sight of him in a zerg. That’s a huge problem I had when I mained an asura guard.

Human is the only way to go. Armor looks pretty terrible on the other races most of the time.

Tier 3 cultural, Aetherblade, Winter Scarf are all glorious on human female, though. Human male can be pretty good so long as you don’t choose the more… feminine body shapes. Just makes everything look awkwardly proportioned in heavy armor.

Blech. Humans are bland and boring. If for some reason playable humans were removed from the game, I wouldn’t shed a single tear.

Honestly, Norn master race in general.

If you plan on playing WvW i would suggest:
Charr\Norn for Frontlinie. Just you know face Aggro
Asura if you are focus grp, female sylvary can be small AS well though.

Generally, do what you feel suits you, but if you fight other players, keep in mind many find it hard to read asura animation, and a group of 15 norn\charr charging looks just plain amazing.
That said, never trust a charr XD

Human has access to Reaper of Grenth. I know racial skills aren’t great, but I got a lot of use out of it as a wvw zerg busting skill back when warriors had few decent elites. With today’s meta condi builds, this skill may provide some extra condi pressure and it does effect up to 10 targets with 2 condis that warriors have little access to: poison and chill.

The Asura’s Radiation Field seems like it’d give you a similar function…. with a lower CD, and it’s a Utility instead of Elite. Main drawback would be it’s a static field instead of moving with you.

I’m an alt-o-holic.

Got a couple Charr warriors, definitely that cultural armor is BEASTLY on them so I recommend Charr.

I have a human and asuran warrior. I much prefer the asuran. Your weapons are smaller….harder to spot what types you are using. Many of your standard ground attacks do special aerial animations….easy to confuse opponents compared to being a human who’s feet won’t leave the ground unless they use eviscerate. The dodge animation is much more interesting and concealing than the human’s roll…..especially if u jump dodge roll.

In terms of ranged weapons. People have told me that making an asuran ranger was a huge mistake due to the shots being fired from a lower position (idk if its true or not). I run melee only warrior though so it suits me perfectly.

Things I miss about human? hounds of bathazar ult….it was fun to have puppies follow me around, I would use them in certain situations as well to cause panic and help me get kills but its so rare that its mainly the aesthetic part that I miss.

Also with asura its actually viable to take a racial utility, called Radiation field, into many builds. It grants ur warrior a combo field first off which is pretty huge, its an aoe….also pretty huge for a warrior. Grants poison and weakness which is what you want for power or condition builds. It just has that bag potential for pve/wvsw….speaking of wvsw its great for shutting down groups of shield wall guardians (those guardian spam guys that stack on eachother and run full healing and no damage).

10/10 would choose asura over human for my warrior.

I find giant warrior char hard to read as well….inm assuming thats just a personal thing tho. They are giant animals who sway their whole bodies into their attacks making me feel small and frightened.
