So before this horrible crit damage nerf i could hit 16k damage with my kill-shot max hit was 20k agent super glass builds.

now im trying to fix the horrible mess Anet has left me basically a dead toon with a dead build and it just dose not seam possible.
As the max crit damage i can get to is around 88% not even 100% crit damage that is useless considering i was running with 136% cirt damage before crit nerf.

so my question to you what is a warrior max crit damage and second can a sniper kill shot build be made anymore?

So considering all that you should be able to max it out around 18k dmg. on a light armor target while y’r below 25% hp and while he has 25 stacks of vulnerability on him. This is calculated with 12 stacks of might.

I use the rifle in PvP now, along with an axe and a shield. I trait for bursting, play with berserker gear, but do not seek to maximize the DPS at the expense of my survivability (it’s PvP).

Best I could get in the last fews weeks was about 11k damage with the rifle, and 9k with the axe. Bursting can be a fight changer – but I can also play without using the rifle burst at all, “Volley” doing damage up to 7k as well.

In PvP, this is pretty satisfying. In WvW, you’d get higher values, but I wouldn’t be able to tell to which extent – how much higher would depend on what level of survivability you trait for (in exchange for DPS), and what help your mates can bring you (especially in terms of might and vulnerability stacking).

I once went roaming with a fellow warrior – we both traited for the highest damage and both used rifles. Although we lost most fights when it came to melee, we had a bit of fun targeting and kill-shooting the foes who dared cross our path

well to get that sort of damage you need all moons to a line to have a Nats fart of a chance to get that kill shot to hit 18k damage so what your tell me you have to have 25 stack might and vulnerability to do that sort of damage when before patch a stack of blood lust would be all i needed to hit 18 yep build is dead

To be fair its always been pretty dead :/

not at all i was hitting 18-20k one shot with this build is a theifs worst nightmare i can no longer get any where close to this its anymore total bullkitten!

The problem isn’t that it is dead, the problem is that condition builds (not power Rifle builds) are just that much more effective and typically just as bursty as power was before.

Rifles are still a strong weapon despite the crit dmg nerf. Just use strength runes, go 25 in arms, forceful greatsword and you should be just fine. Sigil of Strength might be a decent choice to ramp up might stacks before a kill shot.

That’s exactly what I did. Stacked might to around 12 at the time of the killshot. Including the 10% on bleeding targets and 15 vulnerability stacks. It still only hit around 13k. (rifle has a vulnerability skill + vulnerability shout giving 15/25 vulnerabilities that I mentioned before.)

But ofcourse y’r survivability is seriously lacking when you do that.

Depends on the target. People see these 15k-20k kill shots in videos and think that it always does that. The targets that get hit for 20k don’t even have 20khp they have like 12k and 900 armor and are up leveled rangers.

If you want to play a sniper build, play the power ranger build.

Their range is incredibly far and you can camp certain spot to rain arrows.

Anet, I can’t 1shot people anymore, please help.

I actually got hit for a 16K Killshot once and I have 2,900 armor.

For all i know I could of had 25 stacks of vulnerability, and the guy coulda had 25 stacks of might, and could of been just a case of the stars aligning. But that is still alot.
