I can understand the no archetypes thing in gw2, i’m all for it, but when 85 percent of your abilities require you to be on top of a target you need some survivability.

In WvW unless you’re willing to spec rifle/longbow you may as well go home, or be prepared to pay alot in armour repair costs.

In Spvp the people I find easiest to murder are other warriors. I won a 2v1 yesterday against a GS warrior and a dual sword one. The dual sword one put out no damage, the gs one blew his HB on my block, i bolad the swords guy, stunned the GS guy, finished him off in 5 seconds, then killed the other one ending at 75 percent health. ( I run axe/mace, sword/shield).

It’s almost hilarious how easy it is to kill other warriors compared to every other class i fight. If they run an all out attack spec they drop so quickly once they blow their initial charge. If they run defense they do 0 damage and i can cull them, it just takes a little longer.

Rifle spec warriors…oh please please spec this way. Easiest of all to kill/avoid their adrenaline shot. Why play a rifle warrior, just play any other class with ranged damage and have more dps, better utility and survivability. I don’t understand that spec at all.

All other specs are the same. It’s fun watching the triple axe build ones fail. They look lost when I block/kite their whole axe 5/frenzy combo and their adrenaline bar is still on 0. Where are you eviscerate!!!!.

It’s too easy to kite/snare/avoid warrior damage. All other classes have aoe/snares/buff removals and most importantly viable ranged damage. This is where warriors fall down. If a warrior can’t get near you he does 0 effective dps.

The balance is : If you need to melee to do damage you need to be able to sustain some damage. If you have ranged damage you are more squishy. As it is the warrior is squishy in whatever circumstances. Make our armour count for something.
